And along with that, the Staples Center sold $1.2M of Bryant merchandise last night, breaking Led Zepplin's record (during their return tour in 2008) of $1M for a single arena in a single night.

From pop culture:

Guns N' Roses frontman Axl Rose will perform as AC/DC's lead singer. AC/DC postponed its 2016 tour after doctors warned lead singer Brian Johnson to stop touring or else face permanent hearing loss.

James Cameron announced that there will be four Avatar sequels, the first of which, Avatar 2, will premiere on Christmas Day 2018.

I'm not sure if J! will ask about this, but it's worth knowing and kind of mind-blowing.

Romania's women's gymnastics team failed to qualify for the Rio Olympics at the Olympic test event. They will be permitted to send one gymnast to the Olympics, who will be chosen by the Romanian Olympic Committee. Previously, Romania has won a team medal at every Olympics since 1976.

Yesterday the lower house of the Brazilian Congress voted to impeach President Dilma Rousseff. Within the next several weeks, the Brazilian senate will vote on whether to take up the impeachment motion. If it agrees to do so, vice president Michael Temer will become interim President, and then, if 2/3 of Brazilian senators vote to approve of the impeachment, Rousseff will be outsted and Temer will continue to serve as President until the next regularly scheduled election in 2018. Rousseff, now in her second term, is the first woman to serve as President of Brazil.

LIn-Manuel Miranda has won the 2016 Pulitzer Prize for drama for his Broadway musical "Hamilton," adding to the many accolades for that show. Miranda, who wrote the music and story for "Hamilton" and also plays the title character in it, has previously won a Tony award for creating the musical "In the Heights." The musical "Hamilton" was based in part on Ron Chernow's biography of the first U.S. Treasury Secretary.

Now that I think about it, I didn't vote for him in 2010. I wrote in some novelty joke candidate's name since I wasn't overly impressed with him or whoever he was running against. But I think I did vote for him in the primary and runoff, not really sure.
Just curious -- considering you're an Alabama native (presumingly), I thought I'd ask you -- what's with this Don Siegelman guy? Seems like he just won't shut up about stolen elections and fraudulent prosecutions and false quid pro quos and...anyways, is there any traction to even a quarter of the stuff he's blabbering about, or is it just a naked power grab?

In one of the strangest "celebrity" hoaxes in a while, Limp Bizkit was rumored to have a concert Wednesday at a gas station in Dayton, OH near where I like to go railfanning. I don't know why it went so viral over the past few days, or why anyone would want to go to a Limp Bizkit concert.

Joanie "Chyna" Laurer, groundbreaking female wrestler, WWE superstar, dies on April 20th at age 45. Chyna was the first woman to wrestle in normally male-only events like the Royal Rumble and King of the Ring, and is the only woman to hold a non Woman's only championship in the WWE (2x Interncontinental Champion, at the time the #2 belt in the federation). Her post-WWE career was filled with tumult and trouble: lawsuits and legal battles with ex-boyfriend Sean Waltman (aka X-Pac), which also resulted in a "celebrity sex tape" release ("1 Night in China"), a few pornographic films and appearances on reality TV shows such as The Surreal Games and Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew.

With Ted Cruz out of the race and John Kasich having no chance of getting past Marco Rubio's delegate total, Donald Trump has, as of tonight, become the presumptive Republican nominee.

Sadiq Khan, Labour, is set to be the next mayor of London and the first Muslim one at that.

(There's been one Boris Johnson clue...they might use this...)
