"To me, there’s no scarier Final Jeopardy! category than STATE CAPITALS." -Keith Williams, TheFinalWager.co
Really looking forward to how he plays this one, and not just because of what the answer is. (This fact does not appear on his State Capitals study page, I don't think.) It's...a Final Jeopardy clue all right, I'll say that.
(I got it right, for whatever that's worth. Some trivia fact I heard once.)

43/60. All three DD's. Strangely, Double Jeopardy was stronger than the first round for me. Got one back on the Legally Blonde question.
Got the following Triple Stumpers: Wrestler and Turin
Missed FJ. I was thinking of the right answer, but was concerned that it was settled earlier than the 1780's. Should have stuck with my gut.

...yeah, that's all I got. Of all the damn things to ask about. I got it right, by thinking small, but looking it up just now, that doesn't even seem to be the right reason. Whatever.MinnesotaMyron wrote: It's...a Final Jeopardy clue all right, I'll say that.
"Law student" isn't really a profession. I'm fine with the reversal, but did they seriously not anticipate that answer!??!
Was that 'hanging' DD a well-known bit of trivia? There aren't many clues that make me say 'wtf?' out loud, but maybe I just missed hearing about it.

I've watched a decent bit of Jeopardy in my life. First time I've ever seen someone just completely forget to ring in.
+1 for the STATE CAPITALS grumbling. I was thinking something in the Northwest Territory.

Congrats to Rachel on her second win. I had 43 correct responses including two triple stumpers: Genesis and Turin. I also got the missed DD of hanging, and I got FJ. There appeared to be an edit immediately after a contestant incorrectly gave The Hound of the Baskerville; I wonder why Alex didn't let the other two contestants try to ring in.

Big mistake by the writers in the Single Jeopardy Daily Double! The Dubai Desert Classic is a tournament on the European Tour, not the PGA Tour.

We have a Faith Love in the making.
I would certainly hope Vermonter got that one right. Instaget here; I'd heard that one recently.

Me during the last commercial break...
"State Capitals was the Final category several weeks ago; Little Rock was the answer then, so that won't be it. I have a hunch the answer's going to be one of the really small capital cites. Like Montpelier; I remember hearing that town doesn't have a Walmart or a McDonald's."

Actually, he couldn't catch Rachel (who really shouldn't have bet anything), so his best bet was to hope that she made the all-in suicide wager, and stay above Peter if he got it wrong. Figures that a bad wager would've won.MDaunt wrote:Also Juneau.

I considered both Montpelier, VT, and Augusta, ME, for this FJ, and luckily picked the right one.
I had a vague memory that Montpelier might be the least populous state capital, and I even had a vague memory of possibly hearing the fact about no McDonald's sometime in the past.

Oh man, this might be the most random FJ ? I've heard in a while! I was leaning towards Dover but the date just didn't make sense. Safe to say the corporate leaders of Mickey D's will now be plotting their next restaurant in a certain US Capital!

Re: Wednesday, March 2, 2016 Game Recap & Discussion [SPOILERS]
I wonder if they would have accepted "professor" instead of archaeologist for the Indiana Jones clue. I could see not allowing law student for Legally Blonde, but they really should've just used a different clue.
Too many types of execution. I went with electric chair because of the recency.
Not a fan of that Final Jeopardy clue. I had no idea and was still trying to decide between Juneau and Cheyenne when the time ran out.
