Spoiler

Spoiler
Independence

Hint 2:
Spoiler
Beamer

Hint 3:
Spoiler
Hokies vs. Golden Hurricane

Scoreboard answer:
Spoiler
The Virginia Tech Hokies coached by Frank Beamer in his last game defeated the Tulsa Golden Hurricane 55-52 in the December 2015 Camping World Independence Bowl. The first half featured a record-setting combined 76 points scored.

Daily Doubles
Tony: 750+1000
Roderick: 7750-3000
Roderick: 6750+1000

Coryats
Roderick: 13250
Tony: 17250
Ian: 3500

Combined: 34,000

Episode title: "Everything's Coming Up Moses"

I wrote Tim Duncan to avoid a blank page for the FJ! clue although I was fairly sure I had heard age 40 surrounding his retirement earlier this year. Even with multiple choice it's very possible I still would not have known Jason Kidd was the one.

Tony was in a strong position with the near lock to win the game on a triple miss. Where things could have changed was Roderick's missed Daily Double as he added extra information to his correct name, but while doing that forget proper phrasing. In a much closer 2nd place position Roderick likely would have made a strategic wager that would have doubled his win total.

Roderick looked strong at the beginning for the repeat with 5,000 getting the first 8 clues right including some rebounds that made his lead even bigger.

Season 3 leaderboard:
Spoiler
Earl Holland - 8 wins & $40,000 (14999+14001+22000+24488+16000+32001+2999+24001)
Terry Kent - 3 wins & $15,000 (19250+18000+27500)
Tony Hughes - 1 win & $5,000* (14,999)
Roderick Crabbe - 1 win & $5,000 (7737)

So...

The second half was a veritable snoozefest with only 31 points being scored.

I couldn't come up with anything for FJ.

I really liked the category "It could be something else" where it had a couple of ways to get to the clue.

I'm getting really tired of Crackle hiding the episodes from me. When I go to the site, the episode from the previous week that I had already watched is the recommendation. At first I thought maybe I didn't let it go until it completely ended, but I made sure I did. Sometimes I can find this weeks episode in the Sports category, but not the last two weeks. I had to do a search and click a few more times to get to it, and even then, I clicked on this weeks episode, and it started showing the episode that ended last season with the Danettes.

At least on my Apple TV, this episode had, um, the wrong description. (That's presumably the correct episode title, though.) It's even more fun if you pretend they mean Johnny Gilbert, as a crossover from J!.

clprez, I'm not sure how the site navigation differs from what's on Apple TV, but I've found that SJ! can be most easily found in the "Crackle Originals" category.

Belated. I played the FJ from here, and couldn't think of whom it was referring to.

Thought process: "35 in 2008 ... so drafted around 1994 or 1995 ... but KG and Kobe came right out of high school ... who else was drafted around that time ... I'll go with Jerry Stackhouse."

Apparently in my universe, Jerry Stackhouse is an Olympian.

I had Shaq for FJ.

I wonder if Dan's acknowledgement of the audience was a subtle hint they told him to turn in his keys before the episode started.

Minor nitpick...The softball team in the Fun Police category is the University of North Alabama, located in my hometown of Florence. Dan called them Northern Alabama.
