That game was kind of a mess, but it was worth it to watch the This is... category.

Really? No one got Fort Bragg when spotted the state and 'boast' (sorry heelsrule)!? This was a rough game, to say the least...

Alex was wrong! Lisa should not have bet more, she should have bet less. She should have bet $1100 on that last Daily Double, if my math is correct, hoping for a lock-tie and a one-question playoff.

I cannot believe that they accepted Judas without Iscariot. There were two apostles named Judas. One became a Saint; the other hung himself (and therefore needed to be replaced).

Okay, prunes are made from plums. Didn't know that. Never eaten either.

Could've had 5/5 on Spin-Offs, but I blanked on the middle 3. On $800 I was saying "oh, it's that show with Andy Griffith in it, what's it called?" Also blanked on Columbia River.

Should I know that Brigham Young quote? Seemed kind of opaque, especially at $400.

And yes, I lol'd at Johnny doing "This! IS! SPARTA!"

Absolutely no clue on FJ!, again. I've heard of Judas Iscariot, but know literally nothing that he did.

I knew he betrayed Jesus, but didn't know he was the correct response for FJ (hey, I'm Jewish, we don't use the New :P ).

I am ashamed to say I did not get the Daily Double on the Go Home category.

I liked Alex telling Lisa that she should have bet more on her final Daily Double. I'm sure what he meant was that she obviously should have bet enough to pull within 2/3rds of Justin's score, so that if he were to miss FJ, she could win without having to get it right herself. Because I'm sure Alex does actually follow the endgame strategy of the show that carefully, and he wasn't just talking out of his ass by telling her she should have bet more after she got it right, even though she couldn't have caught Justin anyway, even if she had made it a true Daily Double.

That was a really exciting conclusion to DJ, after the game sort of went off the rails somewhere in the middle of DJ. I think it was around the Kovac...Kovacs misses where the show just seemed to grind to a halt, and had trouble getting going again. With quite a few clues left, it became obvious that the only way Justin could lose would be for Lisa to find the last DD. He at least tried to find it with 3 clues left, but he picked the $1600 box instead of the $1200 box, and it very possibly could have cost him the game with a tougher FJ clue.

I very nearly went 30/30 in the first round tonight, but there were 14 clues that I just didn't know.

Given our avatars, that seems like one that I should have gotten as well, but unfortunately I came up empty. I did at least read the clue correctly, so I didn't need to be reprimanded by Alex, unlike Lisa.

Just atrocious DD wager there by Lisa. Only way it could have been worse is if she had bet less than $1100.

Some may say yes, but I'm not naive enough to sing that melody.

I was way ahead of Alex for busting Kathryn on the Trump Tower. This is my rifle, this is my gun? Pretty memorable here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4kU0XCVey_U

Justin apologized to Alex since even he realized it was not the smoothest of games. Justin dropped to the 1600 clue and tried to find the last DD. Lisa finding it a box above at least made FJ interesting.

The poll choice will have the FJ clue over 90%? Could be, we'll see. What does the percentage drop to if the clue asked for Matthias? I collected my 30 pieces of silver to make up for being stumped on the Mayflower DD and blanked on the Bethesda one.

I took me a couple of clues to even figure out the category. Since the name of the category was "This is a Jeopardy Category", I initially thought the correct responses would be the names of common Jeopardy categories: things like "Before & After", "Potent Potables", "Potpourri", etc. Finally, I realized that it was just a category about famous quotations that began with "This is". Yeah, it was funny, but I don't really like it when you have to waste the first clue in a category just so everyone understands the gimmick.

Okay, someone break down the $400 there for me because I have no clue how you got Brigham Young from that.
