Welcome to TD #311 – “Name’s the Same.” The questions will somehow center around names that are shared; usually by people, but not always. And you never know, some fictional characters may make an appearance.
For the people, generally the real name is used; although sometimes a stage name will be called for, so please watch for that. You should be able to complete this with general knowledge and maybe just a bit of logic.
The basic rules apply:
Your goal is to achieve the lowest score for all questions; your score for each question is equal to the total number of players also submitting your answer.
Wrong answers count for the SHEEP (most common answer) + 5 points.
You must give the letter for any question that includes letters next to its choices. Using the wrong letter or submitting with no letter will be counted as incorrect.
You may DROP one question and receive zero points for that question; you may also SHEEP one question and receive the point total of the most common answer.
As always, no cheating. This includes googling or other research, asking others, or Vulcan mind melds.
This TD also includes one extra credit question which will count for -2 points off your score. There will be no penalty for incorrect answers to the extra credit question.
A tie–breaker will be used only in case of any ties in the final top three positions. First tie-breaker will be whoever had the most number of singletons. If a second tie-breaker is needed, earlier date and time of entry will decide the position.
Entries will be accepted until 11:59 p.m.(EDT) on Sept. 12. ENTRIES SHOULD BE SUBMITTED BY PM TO ME. THANKS.
Good luck and enjoy!
