TD 325 - Random Trivia, FINAL STANDINGS

Post by Peachbox »

TD 325 - Random Trivia

The following standard rules apply to this TD:

*Your goal is to achieve the lowest score for all questions; your score for each question is equal to the total number of players also submitting your answer.
*You may DROP one question and receive zero points for that question; you may also SHEEP one question and receive the point total of the most common answer.
*Wrong answers count for the SHEEP (most common answer) + 5 points.
*You must give the letter for any question that includes letters next to its choices. Using the wrong letter or submitting with no letter will be counted as incorrect.
*As always, no cheating. This includes googling or other research, asking others, or Vulcan mind melds.

I second that notion! Haven't attempted too many of these so far, as I'm relatively new to the board, but this is the first time I've been in the top three at any point I believe! I'm sure this won't last for long.

3. Picture Round I---Centenarians

This one had the most drops, top-heavy scoring and some singletons. When I put together this montage, only 2 people were still around. Then Kirk Douglas turned 100, and I replaced another picture (sorry, Hal Roach) with his. Many chose him for the bonus, but only one for this question.

Picture link and names in spoiler.
Spoiler
From left to right:
Top row: Olivia deHavilland, Miep Gies (helped hide Anne Frank and others; saved diary), George Burns
2nd row: Charles Lane (It's a Wonderful Life, Homer Bedloe on Petticoat Junction, etc.), Luise Rainer, Irving Berlin,
Ellen Albertini Dow (rapping granny from The Wedding Singer)
3rd row: Gloria Stuart (elder Rose from Titanic, Norman Lloyd (seen here in Saboteur), Kirk Douglas
4th row: Bob Hope, Ted "Double Duty" Radcliffe (Negro Leagues player), Grandma Moses
