Re: 2020 Jeopardy North American Audition Tour

Part 1 was the 50-question test, which I described on page 7. That was a one-on-one Zoom call; responses were spoken aloud. I've done this step more recently (August), and it was different -- it was essentially the same as the initial online contestant test, but with about 8-10 potential contestant...

Re: Online Test Recap & Discussion (Pacific), January 30, 2020

Truth is, I'd been losing interest in trying to become a contestant--J! has gotten so fast, and I've slowed down. But at the last minute I took the test last night because I couldn't the first two nights. Amazed that I may have gotten 45-46 right. Just one of those fun tests for me this time. :)

Re: Upcoming tests!

I picked Raleigh for my audition city, and that city didn't happen. I don't know if they're bagging everything and just going in six month cycles, then making people stick to their area; or if they have other plans. With my millionaire appearance done, I wonder what will happen for my eligibility. ...

Re: What was your online test score with an audition

I know there's plenty to do in most large cities, but it could be that (depending on their itinerary--if they come east first) TPTB get more days in NYC to allow the testers to get over jet lag and to see more Broadway shows--a huge plus for most visitors, especially those in show biz.

Re: Timing of Audition Invite Emails

^^^^You're very sweet - I hope you cleaned up on your appearance! :) Did you just say I dont look good? Not at all. "I hope you cleaned up on your appearance!" is slang for "I hope you made a lot of money when you appeared (on the show)." It's a friendly message. However, drop the " on " and ...

Assuming I did extremely well on the test, if I were strong on sports, I think I'd try out for SJ! My bro-in-law is a savant about sports stats and my husband is not far behind.

Re: Online Test Recap & Discussion (Eastern), April 14, 2015

I'm confused. On my end, I don't think there were categories until the 6th or 7th question. SO OFFICIALLY what's going on? Are we Easterners allowed to retest tonight or tomorrow regardless of the kind of glitch? Can anyone who did not experience a glitch just retake it tonight/tomorrow? And what if...

Re: Friday, April 10, 2015 Game Recap & Discussion [SPOILERS]

I thought reichsmarks was a perfectly good clue, I don't see why the writers would have included the reference to nazi germany if it had just been plain ol' deutschmarks. Mind you, I said "reichmarks", but I'm counting it. I wouldn't. From a brief glancing of this Wikipedia article (combined with m...

Re: what city did you choose for the test?

It'd be great (for me :D) if TPTB look at the number of people who want Boston and add another city or more in the Northeast. I remember they said they loved going to Broadway shows, so here's hoping they pick NYC or nearby.

Re: The Rankest Thread Imaginable

Hey all, This is my first post. Best of luck to everyone! I signed up for the Tuesday 4/14-Boston deal. I took the test two years ago, was summoned to the Sheraton in NYC, played the live game, was told (as were we all) that we were "in the pool"--and never got called. So I'll try again. Maybe I sho...
