Re: Boardie Poll About Taking The Test

My husband signed us both up for the online test. This was his longtime dream, not mine at all, so of course I ended up getting the invite. I auditioned during a historic Chicago Snowpocalypse in March, got The Call that summer, taped in August. One test, one audition, and one helluva blur.

My recollection from my years in the Chicago area is: mustard, relish, onions, sport peppers, tomatoes, pickle spear, and celery salt. I can’t get to 8 unless you include the poppyseeds on the bun.
Yes, I agree. They must be counting the poppyseed bun.

Re: J! to Tape Without Live Audience

Closing the Sony cafeteria can only be a good thing. This, we also need a source on. If the Sony cafeteria was closed, then the contestants from the second taping session (and the champion from Wednesday's game) wouldn't be served lunch. Pretty sure that wasn't a serious remark. (Note the lau...

Thanks for hosting, threearruda! I pretty much gave the Howard Dean yell with each reveal, but it was fun nonetheless. And thanks for the timely reminder-- if Phineas Gage can persevere, we all can get through the covid-19 scare. Have a great week, everybody!

Re: Monday, March 9, 2020 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)

I was surprised by Jerry (Lee) Lewis, and definitely noted it....but was it wrong? Is "Lee" his middle name or part of his first name? I've always heard it as "Jerry Lee Lewis", but I've also always heard "William Randolph Hearst". I imagine "Lewis" would have been acceptable, but is "Jerry" wrong,...

Trap door for the judges today accepting Jerry Lewis for Jerry Lee Lewis, in my opinion.

Re: Monday, March 2, 2020 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)

3) A 7-letter music term meaning to play lively and fast??? Apparently they wanted allegro but I came up with scherzo, which is (in my musical experience) even MORE lively and much faster. Judges? That was a bad clue. Here's the exact wording: This 7-letter word on a musical score like "Flight Of T...

The Easter Tridiuum begins at the Holy Thursday Mass, not on Good Friday.
Perhaps someone thought Friday, Saturday, Sunday. But the 'third' day is the Easter Vigil on the night of Holy Saturday.
My husband made the same observation.

Re: The Jeopardy! Anytime Test

I was thrilled to get the email about the Anytime Test, because I was not able to take the most recent online test due to auditioning live 16 months prior. We're not supposed to take any online tests until 18 months have passed. So I'll do the Anytime Test at the end of the availability window. Dit...

Gaucho is the name of my favorite restaurant in Pittsburgh! It's an Argentinian steakhouse. I haven't been in a while, but their logo is a knife, not a cowboy, so I just never made that connection.
Treat yourself!
