If the new champ goes on a long run we can say that the opponents that he defeated were Fochted.

Anderson Cooper had a show on CNN and is also on 60 Minutes.
They should have Cooper host exactly one Jeopardy show every year and that should be the New Years Eve show.

Re: Ken Jennings as a Host Poll

I voted for "Sorry, but I hope they find someone else." No offense to Ken, but the reason I don't want him as permanent host is because then, anyone who Ken played against would be ineligible to be invited to future Jeopardy! tournaments because of the 1950s quiz show scandals, and I don't want the...

Re: Jeopardy! Interim Host Thread

After seeing Ken host for two games I can say this: he brings a razor sharp mind and a quickness that the other host candidates cannot compete with. He's into and on top of the game the way that a good sports announcer is.

Re: OBIT: Alex Trebek

His passing is a rare occasion when millions of people who never literally met the man will feel genuine sorrow and reflect upon his class and courage.   He performed at the highest level to the end, which is remarkable with the effects of his particular illness and its therapies.  His interactions ...

Do you notice anything in common between say, WHH and JFK with regards to these Presidents?
No.

I can't even remember out of eight planets which is the largest.
It's Uranus

Re: Friday, November 29, 2019 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)

For FJ I went with Frankenstein. Did anybody else go with this? I think it's not a bad guess, particularly if you thought of Young Frankenstein or Bride of Frankenstein , but I think those for whom the Hammer versions are the definitive Frankenstein adaptations would have remembered Castle Frankens...

For FJ I went with Frankenstein.

Even if Stoker was associated with England, he is commonly termed as an Irish novelist.

Re: It's happening!!! The GOAT Tourney, w/ Brad + Ken + James

I have to wonder what the level of difficulty of the answer/questions will be. If they set it at the highest level, the expanded prime time audience may only be able to appreciate the drama of the competition, and go numb if they try to play along. I'll enjoy it for the drama of the competition and ...

In Roger Craig's famous first game of the 2011 TOC final, he ended with $50,000. James Holzhauer, in a seemingly average game, ended here with $49,326.

Re: Monday, November 11, 2019 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)

I will be checking the box in the weekly poll stating that I teared up at Dhruv's FJ response. Pancreatic cancer can throw you curveballs. I found out today that I have to do another three months of chemo in order to be operable. But my long term survival chances will be quite good after that. I'm a...
