A movie that won no major awards and only grossed $22 million at the box office? Yeah, that wasn't gonna happen for me.

I guessed La Vie en Rose because that was a 2007 film and I thought Bareilles was a French-sounding name....
yeah, esp. if you NHOI as in my case

Re: Dreams About Jeopardy!

I have a dream that I will keep my opinion about this thead to myself. Living ones dreams is tough....... This is only for dreams that people remember if I understand what you mean. Over the years I have had several dreams about being on J!. Don't recall details of any now, but even at the time it ...

Cleveland algebraist 39 ouachiouat 45 rojo 48 I added my name several days ago to the list of wannabes who passed and chose Cleveland, but haven't made it to this list yet. Terry must have set a record for wrong answers while ending up with a lock.
Yeah. Instead of asking for an Aleve at the end I thought he might go for a Xanax. Hope his nerves settle down before he has to/gets to defend on Monday.

Brag box this week, finally! Was denied on Friday last week. Took me a good 15-20 seconds to come up with it.
Yay for us! I also went 4-for-4 last week before going face first down on Friday. Then tonight's instaget gave me 5-fo5-5 this week.

Re: Wednesday, February 12, 2020 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)

We see an exception to the heuristic that "European" in FJ category names means "not British". Or is that heuristic meant to be specific to writers/artists? Just writers, I'd say. Since music and visual art don't need translation. And let me thank Rocky and Bullwinkle for helping me solve that 1996...

Just when I was thinking "oh cool, Kristyna didn't make the usual all-in suicide wager!", here comes Danyelle's nonsensical wager. Somewhere, someone watching at home will think to themselves "if only Kristyna had bet it all!" *sigh* That. I was just on the verge of saying, "Great! After last night...

Well, that was a hot mess. You know, if Danyelle teamed up with that guy from "Law and Order," they could form a company called "Long-Hyland Ice-T."
I am ever so glad to know I was not the only weird person to make that association. :D

Pretty sad game. Guaravi's wager was only about $9000 too big, and it cost her nearly $10K in this game plus the chance to come back and win more. No one ever bothers with wagering strategy. *deep sigh* I picked up $3K in LT for inland, malt, and Washington Irving. That was enough, coupled with my i...

Jane Austen.
Perhaps we are twins, separated at birth. This was exactly my FJ week. Don't have a clue why it is so hard for me to remember Britlit authors/titles, when much more obscure stuff comes so naturally to me. Jane Austen. Sheesh.

My Ideal Board (writers, are you listening?): Classical Music U.S. Geography/The 50 States/State Capitals World History The Bible Medicine/The Body Human The summer Olympics Others pop into mind, but just writing those has me salivating all over my keyboard and I must stop to do some wiping.

Yeah. To pick anyone else would be to overthink it for no reason. If anyone did pick a different Confederate general I'd be interested in knowing what in the clue led them to their choice. How about picking a guy (Hamilton) who was never a rebel against the US and who had been dead more than 50 yrs...

I got I-10 because it runs through Mobile. I couldn’t tell you much about interstates that run through other parts of the country. I guessed I-10 from knowing that the major trunk interstates are divisible by 5, with the 5s (5, 15, 25, etc.) running north-south and the 10s running east-west. The nu...
