i don't blame anybody - like myself!- from jumping at this response. Even if you could imagine the Tour Eiffel as having two feet, you've still got the problem that in no conception is it as wide as it is tall. Jump at the response, sure, but think twice about it. hence, "...reflection could m...

As an aside, Pistol Pete set the record in three years and less than 90 games as freshman were not allowed to play at that time. Also with no 3-point line, it was estimated his 44.2 college scoring average would have been 60 or more in the 3-point era. With college players competing in as many as 1...

As has been noted, at some point, an executive decision was made to make sure all boards are fully cleared. I wonder what would happen if one day a board was played that editing could not save. Ah, the Kobayashi Maru squared. When even editing the program can't solve the problem. I don't believe in...

A savvy FJ wins a game most would lose. Hooray! Due to the $6200 Patrick left on the table for DD3. Alternatively, with the wager he did make, Patrick could've tanked DD3 and gone on to win with a savvy wager from second. I'm not sure what the wager with the highest expected value would be there. M...

I couldn't decide if the song title had an "I" in it or not. The right thing to do in that case is go with "I Walk the Line" since they let you get away with adding words to a song title as long as those words are in the song. (Right? I can't think of an example, but I'm pretty s...

In Deb’s last game, they bet it all from second in a non-crush for no reason and FJ was a TS. I meant to look that up and forgot. Thank you. So it's quite possible we just saw the result of a contestant who went over their previous game, spotted the problem, and achieved enlightenment. It's good to...

I went with Tin Drum; like Mark, the German was no help, although it makes sense in retrospect. I briefly thought of Tin Drum and I think I would have remembered the name Oskar (which I would have recognized was not German for "short"). No way in a million years could I have pulled up his...

There are lots of times where an otherwise correct response is negged because it doesn't fit the category. "Homage," with the h pronounced, doesn't fit the category. Yes it's the same word with the same spelling as the response that does fit the category. Written as an FJ response, it's f...

I agree with the "led" reversal, but disagree with giving credit for "worn" (although I said that); "worn" is a past participle and not the past tense. Same here. I'm also not happy with giving credit to "homage" with the h pronounced in a SILENT H category. ...
