I predict that kelilah will be forgotten before the first commercial break on Monday and one or more of the challengers will emerge as the favourite.
Could you at least make an attempt at spelling her name right? The disrespect here is utterly palpable.

Re: Thursday, March 26, 2020 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)

J..... And Evan didn’t even try to win the game. Looks like Evan assumed Susan would make the normal cover wager, which would have dropped her to 5199, and Evan left himself with 5201. That part of it makes sense - he was just thwarted by a lower-than-expected wager from Susan. You have to factor A...

Re: J! to Tape Without Live Audience

Also, for the record, media companies (I'm 99% sure J!'s production company would fall within this) are exempt from the restrictions in LA County. Thus, the post-production workflow of the show isn't going to be prevented from happening.

if some may balk on continuing to carry J!
The vast majority of Jeopardy! fans are not superfans like us and will watch (and enjoy) any Jeopardy! they can get. Any station dropping J! would face massive negative local public opinion right now.

Re: Thursday, March 19, 2020 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)

Part of the fault goes to Michonne at chat time and Alex not being able to shorten that portion. Pete Wentz would disagree of course. For what it's worth, Mark, it doesn't take as much time to reveal just two responses to Final Jeopardy instead of three. (I expect that had Aaron made Final, there w...

I know that. I was just pointing out that they made a mistake with the days of the week.
You're really enthusiastic about this, and that's awesome. But — it's a really weird look to dispute primary sources. You should try rolling with the punches a little bit more.

There is a mistake: March 23 and 24 are Monday and Tuesday, not Tuesday and Wednesday.
Depending on the studio and/or Alex's schedule, oftentimes the show will tape on a Monday/Tuesday.

Re: J! to Tape Without Live Audience

Closing the Sony cafeteria can only be a good thing. Seriously, I wouldn’t want to get on a plane right now. This, we also need a source on. If the Sony cafeteria was closed, then the contestants from the second taping session (and the champion from Wednesday's game) wouldn't be served lunch....

average prize of, what, about $7,000?
$14,476.43 (Remember, an average champion wins a second game.)

In case anyone cares (I'm not sure if y'all do, but Myron said this sort of stuff belongs in Reretaken Down): A user was banned from another site because that user had made posts on the other site which were essentially defenses of white supremacist symbols. There will be no further comments from me...

Re: New old games in the J! Archive

CROSSWORD CLUES must have still been new (evidenced by Alex's long-winded explanation), but the $600 clue is an all-time great out of the writers, in my opinion. I had nothing on that one. Seems like Alex's comment should be on the clue instead of the response. Mark/Myron/Robert correct me if I'm w...

So you jump through all the hoops you have to in order to get on this show, accrue a nice sum in your previous appearances and you've got a runaway so you can't lose, and you bet zero dollars in FJ? Zero? I’ll ask you the same thing I asked you not once but twice that you failed to answer back in t...

Re: New old games in the J! Archive

Judy Weightman, Game 2, is now in (January 14, 1994): http://j-archive.com/showgame.php?game_id=6563 The clue about Leif Erikson has led me to wonder how the show has rendered his name (and that of his father) over the years. There are a few spellings in the Archive. CROSSWORD CLUES must have still ...

I would have had it anyway, but it was rather serendipitous that a Daily Double in one of the games I put into J! Archive on Monday was about Collodi/Pinocchio.

Re: New old games in the J! Archive

Bruce Fauman, Game 4 (March 5, 1985) is now in: http://www.j-archive.com/showgame.php?game_id=6559 I'm going to let this game stand mostly for itself (though some longtime members of this community will definitely recognize one of the challengers), but apparently, during Season 1, the "tie for secon...
