We have mentioned Maggie leaving, but that is all I remember

I wonder what revenge Schrödinger’s cat cooked up? Assuming of course the box was opened.....
The cat, of course, refused to come out of the box, thereby stymying all attempts to determine his state.

Ah yes, that's what I remember. So the e-mail should still be valid. Thanks.
I believe it was reported that Corina is Maggie’s replacement.

Re: Learned League 84

Who else has been playing one of the MiniLeagues right now? I'm playing in the '70s Music ML and have loved it, although I'm having really bad luck. Despite having the most correct answers in my group with 43 I'm languishing in sixth place. Yesterday was the typical story: score a six-pack and only...

Re: Tuesday, April 21, 2020 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)

So? "Yesterday" is the most covered, and I bet you not a single soul could name any of the artists who have done any of said covers. Or anyone who's ever had sucess with a Beatles cover ever. Why in the world would you even post this nonsense? Just because something is a blind spot for you, don’t p...

Re: Tuesday, April 21, 2020 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)

Am I the only one that thought Gary looks like Brad Rutter (physically)? I saw Mark's post of how many time Riordan (was Alex's pronunciation correct? I would assume it sounds like Reerdon.) has come up, so there was no excuse for his name not being familiar to me. Andy, I was going to post on both...

Re: Friday, April 17, 2020 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)

With a combined Coryat of $45K, this game was well-played by any standard and Nibir certainly impressed. Tyler and Xiaoke were no slouches, but Nibir was good enough to make them look bad at times. I’ll be very interested to see how he fares in the TOC. Roland was enough to get me to FJ tonight, but...

And yet... here we all are talking about WWTBAM again. If the purpose of this exercise was to generate publicity, they’ve succeeded. There’s no such thing as bad publicity, after all.

Re: WWTBAM returns to primetime

I just finished watching that first episode — not bad at all, jimmy Kimmel does a good job as host and they keep the game moving right along. I was struck by the return to the earlier question valuations and lower plateau levels. Will Forte just seems scared to answer anything. And seeing conmercial...

Re: Boardie Poll About Taking The Test

Started taking the online tests in ‘08, got an audition in ‘10 in Orlando. Continued “passing” online tests since then. Only other audition was at Trivia Nationals last year, so technically still in the pool.

Same here. On further consideration, I thought of the related term paramour as a possible entry.

When I saw World Cuisine and 70s music, I thought Huzzah! Two wheelhouse categories. Yes , World Cuisine has played that way but if Randy and AWSOP are quailing, what chance do we mere mortals have? I got 3. Got Ramones (WECIB?) but lost the Kosman flip on Chic vs Rufus (Rose Royce did also occur to...

Kids books for $1,000 was a bad misfire on the writers' part. I also said "snow day" because "nieve" is snow, and was dumbstruck when it was ruled wrong. "Snowy day" would be Día nevado in Spanish. Should this be tagged as erratum? https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/41Bj%2BcbeioL._BO1...

First person singular pronouns and we get we and us??? Really? Impressive Coryat by Leanne. FJ took me back to a bike trip I made from CT to ME on US 1. That stretch in NH was memorable for how short it was.

Why did they bother making that illegal, it looks hard as hell. It’s actually quite a bit easier to properly line up your putt using the croquet stroke. Try it some time. USGA has stipulated that both feet must be on the same side of the putting stroke for as long as I’ve been playing (closing on o...

Oof! Yes, these last couple of days have not been game play at its finest, but this did seem to be a nadir, redeemed mostly by Khalila as a player. FJ was tougher then yesterday’s gimme, but still easily reasoned out. I knew the Emmy Awards began in 1949, but I recently learned that the National Ac...
