Re: Friday, September 23, 2011 Game Recap & Discussion(SPOIL

I got Reagan from the context of the clue, thought it was a bad impression. They used to have the TOC every November. The first one was for just Season I, which had exactly 15 five time champs. After that, they drew champs from TOC to TOC. Not sure how or why they got off kilter. I miss it being a r...

Re: Thursday, September 22, 2011 Game Recap & Disc (SPOILERS

Mark-I also said May-December romance, so I'll score you as correct. Had Man (and considered science) for FJ, the Superman bit clicked in upon Alex's comment. Anybody else think the bottom clue in Who did she portray was way overvalued? I had never heard of the actress or the movie. but all I needed...

Werther was my first thought and the wife said the same thing. Then the clue seemed to hint it was something other than caramel. I shouted out Hewrshey at the last second, but wouldn't have had time to write it down.

Re: Wednesday, September 21, 2011 Game Recap & Disc (SPOILER

How many wise guys joined me and said moths instead of butterflies for the lepidopterist? I guess you paid as much attention to Mr. Price as Peter Brady did. (I got it from that episode). I thought I was dead when I saw the FJ category. My first thought was Henry and Jane. But his only win was for ...

Yeah, but there's only a couple thousand crocs in FL. There are over 1.5 million alligators here.
Didn't the University of Florida media guide put a crocodile on the cover one year instead of a gator?

Re: Tueday, September 20, 2011 Game Recap & Discussion(SPOIL

as I believe the Tennessee River dips into Alabama not far from Montgomery.) It gets close to Hunstville, but doesn't come within 175 miles of Montgomery. Beat me to it. Yes, the Tennessee dips down into northern Alabama, but not that far. The area inside the river south of Tennessee is known as th...

Re: Tueday, September 20, 2011 Game Recap & Discussion(SPOIL

Granted, the Arkansas and Alabama Rivers aren't among our better known ones, but given that the clues mentioned Little Rock and Montgomery, they shouldn't have been triple stumpers.

Re: Tueday, September 20, 2011 Game Recap & Discussion(SPOIL

The TV characters category was a bit harder than usual for TV questions, I thought. FJ wasn't instaget, but I arrived at "cricket" with plenty of time to spare. The wagers were a bit headscratching, especially Alex's. I thought Hal LInden was the only truly obscure clue in the cat, mostly because t...

I was really shocked FJ was a solo get. I also thought the boards were fairly easy.

I had to change my name to make it in the category.
