Re: This just in! New season of Millionaire (2018) seeks contestants

For those of you in the know: if we auditioned last summer for episodes filmed in 2017 and 2018 (at TCONA, for me), and they say you're in the pool, should we just sit tight, wait for summer to come and hope for the call?

Re: Millionaire 2017-18 Season Discussion [SPOILERS]

So that's two Fridays in a row where most of the contestants have just chosen... poorly. I guess the end of season on a Friday is the best place to burn those off?

Re: Millionaire 2017-18 Season Discussion [SPOILERS]

That's the good thing about Millionaire -- you can take as much time as you need. My understanding is some of the longer ponderings are edited out. I thought to myself when watching that I would say "well, there are 119 other permutations of CHARS, so if you'll permit me 2.5 seconds apiece to go th...

Tinking B. Wesing C. Tehcorcing D. Mooling She used ATA and 50:50 on it, and ended up with 34% saying A and...

Is it just me or have the FJs this tournament been extra tough?
Given a get rate of 3/12 so far, that's true empirically. So far I've only missed Monday's.

Not exactly this version, but credit to the bouncing ball for my knowing the old song:

Re: TD 378 - K.I.S.S. (Q1 - Q2 revealed)

Lets get the scoring started. I'm going to drop the original question into a spoiler box to make it easier to review the questions. 1. Roger, Roger. One of my favorite movies of all time is Airplane! Identify one of these people with first or last name of Roger or Rogers. The answer must include th...

Haven't seen the game yet today but went with Nashville off the Clue of the Day. Only one Oscar won, and the Nash in question was famous in the wrong century. Anyone else?

For those that answered square root of 12345678987654321 correct, is this something you just know or is there a relatively simple pen and paper way to figure this out? I couldn't see any real simple way to get this other than trial and error. I knew it instantly because it was a question on Million...

I usually record part of Jeopardy and thus skip through the interviews, but didn't have that luxury today. The "I named my dog after Omar from The Wire but they have different personalities!" is one of the poorest I've ever heard. How did that get through the pre-show interviews? Because the contes...

The 4/25 show has another J! alum (and J! Re: HQ Trivia

I like seeing how the HQ writing tries to screw up bots. Usually they have tacit, necessary layers of knowledge between the question and the answers. Today there was a good example of this: "The world's largest living single-stem tree is named for a soldier who fought where?" with Battle of Shiloh,...

For the theme park question, I desperately tried to remember the one I saw across the highway in Orlando from the liquor store, that I knew had the potential to be so-bad-it's-good, but I couldn't pull the name. I also didn't have time before my flight. So for all y'all, behold The Holy Land Experie...

Re: TD 370 - CLASSIC AREA CODES 2xx (213 & 214 REVEALED)

The user's actual answer for 213 was "Nakatomi Plaza (AKA Die Hard building--does that count?)" Yes, it certainly does count, just as I would have accepted "The Brady Bunch house" or the "Leave It To Beaver" house. That definitely works for me. Makes me ashamed I didn't think to say "Vasquez Rocks....
