I liked the FJ clue, not that anyone's dissed it here. The symmetry at 17 years on each end, plus the false lead of cicadas. Well conceived.

Are there many pop songs about cicadas?...I ask merely for information....I'm not great with pop music...Witness: I had no idea on this clue.

Since I have trouble visualizing the world map in my head, I'm particularly proud of getting this FJ, just by picking the largest and smallest countries that I thought were on the Mediterranean...I was far from sure about Algeria especially...Whew!

WABC joined Jeopardy! in progress when the sixth clue was selected, so everything from that clue to the rest of the show was seen on both WABC and 7.2 Localish.
