Yes, ya'll know the drill checking boxes as relevant to your performance so nice to see the total for the "something" boxes above the voters total as that clue lent itself to those of us having both parts.

Re: New old games in the J! Archive

I filled in 3/28/02: http://www.j-archive.com/showgame.php?game_id=1731 I should buy a Powerball ticket since there were only two media clues and under 10W. The Archive clue count is 384,978. If any archivist works on a game prior to the Monday 2020 game then please mark that 385,000th clue. Hammer:...

Re: Friday, January 17, 2020 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)

Terrible FJ. I started with a guess of Prince Charles and stuck with that for no better reason than, as someone upthread said, it seems like the kind of thing he'd do. I figured he's more game than his mother or Prince Andrew. And it would be incredibly tacky for Charles to withhold his own blood a...

Re: Fun with GSN's "Common Knowledge"

The show is still educational and entertaining as long as the viewer is heavy on the fast forwarding. TV-Y7-FV - What does the FV stand for? I was off like the team that wrote (3rd round is not multiple guess) "family viewing" and learned it was "fantasy violence" which the other team rebounded corr...

Re: What's in store for the 3 Jeopardy giants after GOAT?

You enjoy dreaming about various scenarios for future events. That's fine and I enjoy reading the posts. If there is a M$M2 with 15 contestants it will not be 13M & 2F. M$M - 8-7 dudes BotD 1980s 11-4, 1990s 10-5, 2000s 10-5 All Stars - 13-5 Guys can be the majority though 13-2 is too wide a spread.

By now I should know to change the channel after J! though tonight I made the mistake of catching part of WoF.

Re: Thursday, January 16, 2020 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)

I don't know what it is, but I can never keep east and west straight. I always have to do that "Never Eat Shredded Wheat" mnemonic just to differentiate the two. So it's not surprising that I went in the wrong direction and said Belmopan, thinking Belize was in the uppermost left corner of Central ...

Calling on the Penguin to post a fourth podium survey for this game. She was very close to having a Kristin Sausville solo today as Shanu needed his +3600 on the last two clues of the DJ! round to be standing for the FJ! round. I was rooting for that to happen. I can't recall if anyone else has had...

Re: GOAT Tournament Day 4 (1/14/20) Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)

Whenever one of our media savvy boardies posts ratings results on this final game, I'm curious if these 14 million viewers are the "right" ones. Comparing to World Series game 7's is kind of hollow if we don't get Beer, cars, and snack food advertisers. I'm not trying to be needy, but I need someon...

... Getting a TV category in DJ is always bad news for me. I was proud to have run the geography category where the contestants went 0/5, though. We could make a knowledge trade as I was 4/5 in TV with only (guy who played Hannibal) the occupation unknown to me while 1/5 in the geo only getting DD3.
