Re: Tuesday, June 9, 2020 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)

Seeing MARQUEE "MOON" as a category really makes me wish there was a RnR J!-Archive. That album by Television hasn't appeared on the regular show (as far as we know, of course), but I can imagine it having shown up on Probst's show.

Yeah, I've missed this enough times to finally get it today. It's a perfect example of Jeopardy Canon, a fact that they love, especially for FJ, that they go to the well for over and over. (And don't forget either that he lived in New Mexico.) The Lawrence who lived in New Mexico was D.H. Lawrence,...

Re: WWTBAM returns to primetime

Kaitlyn Olsen's $125,000 question was an instaget for me as Cephalic phase was a question on a re-run episode of "The Chase" this week. :o Per a poster on Reddit, the 2 questions were worded identically, down to the multiple choices, save that Millionaire had a 4th choice added. https://old.reddit....

Re: Couple questions about two 80s clues

Is it possible the Archive is missing a comma? " That'd be my guess, but then the correct response is shown as "single family (duplexes)". I assumed the player said single family and the Archivist added (duplexes) to complete what they presumed the response was, under the theory that either the clu...

Re: Learned League 85 - Official Thread

One problem with learning most of your trivia by reading, is that you don't hear a lot of words spoken out loud, and hearing them spoken is a good way not only to cement them into you brain but to make sure you have the name right. Anyway, yesterday I learned that the rap duo was not called Eric B a...

The games in the series known as the "West Side Story Clash" are played in these two cities.

What are Winnipeg and San Jose? (Jets vs. Sharks)
That's a nice cross-disciplinary clue.

You should have quoted Gerald Ford now that the season is complete after all these years?
I'll save that for when all the runner-up prizes have been updated. :D

Re: New old games in the J! Archive

http://www.j-archive.com/showgame.php?game_id=1165 It is finished. Game #3996, January 7, 2002, David Bell vs. Dawn Jameson vs. Mark Lee, and the entirety of Season 18 is now in the books and in the Archive. Well, except for the media clues for this game. Somehow we managed to save the game with no ...

Re: New old games in the J! Archive

I added 5/15/89: http://www.j-archive.com/showgame.php?game_id=6663 2050? Try a little sooner. Kristine had the finals teed up and sliced it into the gallery. That Patriotic Songs category is in one of the J! video games. I remember the bottom-row clue from watching some guys in my dorm playing, c....

Re: Learned League 85 - Official Thread

I had another 1-point loss yesterday. The wrong side of the coin coming up for me between the sun/the moon and Mars/Venus cost me a tie. I also wouldn't have guessed that Joan of Arc would play so much easier than Jacobean. I got Joan on a total guess of the only French saint I could name. I didn’t...

Re: Learned League 85 - Official Thread

I got Quasimodo on a guess after considering Dr. Jeckyl and the Incredible Hulk. Iowa played a lot harder than I expected. I assigned zero and got three for it. Managed a 7(4)-1(2) victory. My misses were Serbia/Slovenia and Swan Lake. I was gifted 3 for Iowa, but I had a 9(6) so no harm no foul. I...

As soon as I saw the category, I knew my perfect week was sunk. My problem was, I didn't realize Vermont bordered 3 states. Went with Pennsylvania, just to have something on the page. (U. Penn? Hello? McFly?) At least I didn't say Maine.

According to IMDB, the 2020 release Scoob! (with a Jeopardy!-esque exclamation point), is the first animated film for what actor, who provides the voice of the Blue Falcon?
