See previous page: http://www.j-archive.com/showgame.php?game_id=6458 Though a Beatty film shared its name with this fertility goddess, it bore little fruit at the box office I would argue that the relevant portion of the clue is "this fertility goddess", and thus that Ishtar need not be capitalize...

Re: LL82: LearnedLeague

Has anyone here had to settle a scoring dispute with Thorsten? If so, how long did it take? I was marked incorrect for an answer that (I think) clearly meets the "sounds like" criterion yesterday, and was hoping to get it resolved ASAP, as this match outcome could very well determine whether I make...

Re: J-archive spoilers

The timing of archiving has never been a competition and never will be because it's also about reliability and sustainability. In a month from now the Archive will have been doing it for 15 years. (That's a pretty good run for any website. Most of my favorite websites never lasted that long.) BTW, ...

Re: J-archive spoilers

Jerome probably did not mean to open such a can of worms. Let's get it settled before the ToC begins next week so that it is clear what I should do or not do in archiving current games. One thing I could do that would make some happy and others unhappy is to wait a day to archive the current game. ...

Re: J-archive spoilers

From the very beginning the Archive has been a spoiler zone that the user visits at own risk. That said, if there was some time of the day that we could with near total consensus agree is the time when a spoiler veil should be lifted on a new day's entry, I might consider taking the effort to progr...

Re: J-archive spoilers

Why not just not visit the Archive until watching that day's game? Agreed. This doesn't seem like a huge issue. Why would you go to the j-archive page for a day's game you didn't want to be spoiled on? It just doesn't make any sense to me. It's not quite that simple. Having the current day's match ...

I'm going to pretend that the $200 clue in WE AREN'T THE CHAMPIONS was about the Washington Nationals, so we can have all 3 of the 1st-time championship teams this year represented in that column.

To get this back on page one, this is from the Tuesday 10/29 game thread: Too bad Kari could not name drop anyone/anything for all of her family members with game show appearances other than specifying she is the first on J! If it ain't Jeopardy, it don't count for nothin'. ... That's a lot of boar...

A Temperance Brennan novel: "___ Bones" (referring to the number of bones in the body)
If you're going to set this as a row 5 clue, even in the Jeopardy! Round, leave off that parenthetical.

Re: Watching Online

Can we not use this message board to facilitate episode piracy? Weren't you a moderator on the Jeopardy reddit where someone posted multiple links to the day's show literally every day for like years? And then Sony shut everything down, and that subreddit just about got banned. Which is presumably ...

I've been doing some flashcarding lately to fill in gaps in my knowledge, especially geography. But I got burned by a mistake in this game, as my card had the Limpopo River running between Zambia and Zimbabwe. Remember kids, be careful not to transfer over contestant wrong answers when searching the...

20th CENTURY FRENCHMEN These two 20th century Frenchmen, one a composer, the other a novelist, sound like they have the same name, but actually have differently spelled surnames. Who are Pierre Boulez and Pierre Boulle? "Sound like they have the same name" is too mushy, it needs to be pinned better...
