Re: New old games in the J! Archive

The FJ banter was funny, thanks for including it. The organization the Peace Corps became a part of in clue J3 is an acronym (according to Wikipedia), so it should be in all caps. (Apologies for posting this here). All caps for PEACE CORPS. Really? An acronym? Can I ask for a second opinion without...

This guy looks familiar. Might be another Jeff Kirby.

Eisenberg's book. Do you have an actual citation? It's not in the pages Mark scanned, linked elsewhere in this thread. (I'm at work or I'd check my own copies.) Maybe I misread that. Hold on. Apparently Boden. https://www.reddit.com/r/lostmedia/comments/f3nlux/barbara_lowes_fiveday_run_on_jeopardy_...

What's the source for the Social Security number thing? Eisenberg's book. Do you have an actual citation? It's not in the pages Mark scanned, linked elsewhere in this thread. My lifetime record against LabbettM is something like 2-1, but he's not in LL anymore. Boy it was exciting to have him come up in the schedule, though. A couple of the other Chasers still play though.

Re: "Barbara Lowe" 2nd Episode

I guess I'm out of the loop...but is there something significant about Barbara Lowe, other than being a 5-day champion? I don't remember her...but it's been over 30 years and during 1985-86 season, I worked most evenings and that was in the days before VCRs were widely available so I must have miss...

Thankfully I have a newspapers.com account, which I've used to help RK-S on his Fleming era TOC work. Here's the article closeup

Re: "Barbara Lowe" 2nd Episode

This article places Goldbart's run in 1985. https://www.miaminewtimes.com/news/a-date-with-destiny-6364198 With 4 games for him and 5 for Barbara, we'd need an uninterrupted 9 day gap somewhere in the first half of Season 2. That narrows it down. (An obituary indicates that Goldbart died on the exa...

Is this test now no longer being administered? Meaning they will now proceed to another Anytime Test with different clues? My tape still works and I was able to confirm it had Fenton. I added an erratum.
What’s up with response field on DJ11? Is there an erratum for that clue?
It's fixed now. No erratum.

Funny how when I talk about this stuff it’s called pirating. Under the law, my occasional uploads may be considered "pirating" I suppose. Ethically, I feel there's a world of difference or I wouldn't do it. I'm not providing paid-for content to people who are looking to get out of paying. I'm not d...

I uploaded the 9/9/87 episode on the Internet Archive: https://archive.org/details/jeopardy-september-9-1987 Interesting game. Check out OOPS! for $400, and the DD in NEWSPAPERS for game #314 in the Archive. The clue in #314 might deserve an erratum, if only for posterity. Harry Eisenberg covers th...
