Re: PLAIN-NAMED MALADIES 6/21/21 J! round category

4/5 for me in not getting the $1000 clue and having no idea what to guess.

All five were new to me as far as I know.

I did not know enough to be offended by the $600 clue. J! clues rarely offend me unless it's about something/someone in the sports world I don't care for.

Re: Of the remaining guest hosts, who do you think will be your favorite?

In another thread I shared this for a sample of Faber: https://archive.org/details/david-faber My votes are Roberts, Burton and Gupta. If it turns out I do not care for Gupta or Burton hosting I would not be overly surprised. Robin Roberts is the one I have the highest expectation of liking. Joe Buc...

Re: How Did Savannah Guthrie Do as Host?

Savannah was a good choice to fill in two weeks and my "Guest Host! Guest Host!" inner alert was not going off as much as during other weeks. If a time comes when another rotation of guest hosts is needed then don't lose Savannah's number. My score was 8 with points off for her "That's right!" being...

AROUND THE GARDEN? $1000 had me recalling the category, so unable to capitalize on only knowing the term my dad uses of "scrambled eggs" although I guess I could argue some people have hens cooking breakfast in their garden? Scrambled eggs are on the hats of officers O-5 and up. Instaget FJ. MARK: ...

Re: Friday, June 25, 2021 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)

Savannah is a little kinder or a little slower on the judging side of things? Napa Valley could have been negged immediately, but instead a grace period was given. The reward? The next clue was DD1. That's great for Arman while perhaps it unfairly disadvantaged his opponents. Later "glacier" was giv...

no clue about order of the garter. Felt OBE
I liked that clue. The clue should lead you to Garter, but OBE isn't a terrible guess, at least.

Mark: On that clue, shouldn't the first order be Order?
Fine by me, not so much the OCR, done. Thanks.

Re: Thursday, June 24, 2021 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)

The players, as Savannah noted, played a perfect J! round. 18000 total and the DD was 1000 in a 1000 box. The DJ! round? Well... DD3 was on the board after DD2 was found in CHURCHILL SPEAKS with the first call there. What do the players do? Finish Churchill. Sandy found DD3 in OFFICIAL STATE ...

Danielle was the best of the three players--at penmanship, as her Danielle was impressive For Danielle's other writing portion: https://i.ibb.co/W6fTdk1/svet.jpg Savannah called it Vladimir for the surname and TJF went with it as well. For theFJguy I added a "K" that seems to be there at the end and...

Re: Capital One College Bowl

Yes, the material is on the easier side for J! folks, but it's not as if the students knew everything. Home viewers like to play along and answer stuff making the difficulty level seem fine to me. Namath is always on TV hawking something to negate the surprise factor of him no longer looking like he...

Re: Fun with GSN's "Common Knowledge"

It's not always about making fun of the players.

Which American author wrote the autobiography "I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings"?

Maya Angelou
Toni Morrison
Ken Kesey

I love the creativity of the third choice instead of using perhaps, Alice Walker.

Extended credits roll alert. The clue in FEMA about the 2012 event had me rooting for the right player to get it. Yay! Michael took a skunk opening segment, but could have won the game with a higher wager on DD3 when he left 2400 on the table he needed at the end to make his sole solve pay off for m...
