Why it takes so long for this news to reach here?
Because he wasn’t a widely known public figure so his death wasn’t national news.

Re: Monday, May 31, 2021 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)

45R. 2/4 on big clues. Wrote down Encore. I don't watch a lot of Bravo. French sounded close enough to Italian at the time. I got confused reading the DRC/Zaire clue and didn't understand what it was asking until it was revealed. I thought Mayim did well. Seems like the show went smoothly. I didn't...

Re: How Did Buzzy Cohen Do as Host?

I gave him an 8. A little too enthusiastic for my taste but overall I thought he did a fine job. Hosting a TOC probably made him look better but I think having a top tier player was a good idea.

Re: Monday, May 31, 2021 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)

I didn’t know what Bravo shows today so I didn’t have any problems there. I did know it was an arts channel at one point so I went with it.

I liked the host. My only issue was she didn’t explain (or even acknowledge) the “I” in team category.

You’re not alone.
Extra salt on the wound for you guys seeing it then go 75% on the poll. I should have polled those who precalled it as I know I would have had company.
Check my LL Art score, it explains a lot.

Hitting DD5 of the finals when you trail by that much is an automatic TDD bet. Sam didn’t play it safe, going for it all when he hit DD6.

I wonder what the oldest age is for someone to win a game on Jeopardy.
Regular play or Seniors Tournament? Jerry Harvey from KJ1 was no spring chicken.
I guess either one. It would be very difficult (if not impossible) to know for certain.

Who knew Syngman Rhee was married to a European woman? Not me! (Also, my geography about what countries are near each other is pretty good, but my conception of 5,000 miles is way off, so I didn't get the MCWA for that one.) I knew the Philippines gained independence in 1948. I knew Ferdinand Marco...

In my experience, Poe's lifespan(1809-1849) comes up in trivia far more than one would think. Right up there with Joan of Arc and King George III.
Unfortunately, I remembered I knew his birth year after the reveal. My guess was Melville.
