I had Penn and Calvert. I did consider Baltimore but I figured out what they wanted very late and scribbled Calvert so quickly it was illegible.

Gutsy move standing pat by McKenzie but it paid off with her miss.

Re: Wednesday, May 19, 2021 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)

I knew this was going to be 0/3 when I saw the category. Apparently, I have no idea where the Red Sea is. Now I do, though. I wasn’t really sure where it was other than a general idea but got it on a lucky guess. Jennifer was in a good spot where she could go for the kill without killing her chance...

Today we bid farewell to Sarah and Paul. Paul would have been on the bubble if he doesn’t change his question but Sarah definitely will regret her miss.

Speaking of regrets, Ryan may live to regret his FJ wager. Time will tell.

I gave him a five. He wasn’t bad, he just wasn’t very exciting.

I counted $14,200 in LT. Good enough for a lock-tie fourth podium.

Quick get for me on FJ. I agree the game seemed a bit harder than yesterday. I think Steve got flustered on the DD when he picked someone who was dead, although she was actually younger than Carter.

I got calf and embezzlement to pull out the ever popular 4(2)-3(1) victory. My opponent got Ramadan. If I had thought to count the list I might have gotten it but that was my zero question anyway.

Re: Monday, May 17, 2021 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)

It reminds of Kelly Ripa saying "horror" the Jersey East Coast way while I prefer the "whore" way. Not something I expected to ever see you write. I also thought Buzzy did a fine job. A good game and Ryan made excellent use of the DDs to make the next round. Both trailers made good FJ bets, h...

This thread will track the standings for the current TOC. Comments and predictions are welcome but please refrain from commenting on a game that hasn’t been posted yet. I will try to get each day’s game in by 6:00 CDT.

80% of J! doesn't need captioning. I think if you were to crunch the numbers, you'd be surprised. It's more like 15-20%. The only part that wouldn’t need captioning is when the answers are displayed on the screen. The players’ responses, comments from the guest host, Clue Crew videos, interviews, J...

Song of Solomon here.

Given that he grew up in a religious home and studied theology his bet seems fine. If FJ was “Golf”, what would the category’s namesake bet if he was in Jeff’s spot?

Salmon Chase makes another fish clue. When does this joke get tired? Why is Cogito, ergo Sumatra: a) a question, b) a sensible overlap? I googled "ergo Sumatra" and find nothing as an expression, cliche, or thing. I get the rest of the clues/puns. Juliet has some mad skills or deep knowledge base. ...

I wrote down Washington and John Adams so I didn’t have to worry about not being specific on Adams.

Disappointed Bill didn’t explain the ! or tell Juliet she could bet $1000.

Re: Friday, May 7, 2021 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)

How is James I the same as James VI of Scotland? James VI of Scotland was crowned James I of England when the crowns were united in 1603. True, but James I of Scotland was a different king. I think James I on it own should not be acceptable. Not that I had a clue, I went with Macduff as well. Same ...
