Re: "Fifty Right, Every Night"

I've found it tough to keep track of right and wrong answers while keeping score. Is there a good app for that?

Re: "Fifty Right, Every Night"

50 right doesn't matter much if the ones you have wrong are all at the bottom of round two.

Keeping a straight score with DD at face value is the best way to compare performance on the couch.

I think what threw them off on FJ is the category name.

I suspect like me, they were thinking of events that pit country against country. It took me about 23 seconds to hit on the correct answer after starting with world baseball classic.

For some of us newbies, what is SHC and how do I play? The regular weekly game isn't for me, so this might be nice.

If I'm into it, I could offer to write next year.

Re: J! in the Media

Went to Chipotle yesterday. On the bag my take-out sofritas burrito came in was a short column of "literature" written by Amy Tan about how she believes in ghosts. She claims that one of them whistled the Jeopardy! tune to her husband when he was naked in the shower. Which is exactly what I would d...

Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday were all instagets, Thursday was an instanyet...instantly wrote down Madonna and spent the next 29.5 seconds trying to even think of another possibility. I only know of the existence of Kinky Boots, had no idea Cyndi Lauper was involved. Friday I had no idea, never read t...

Re: Thursday, June 25, 2015 Game Recap & Discussion [SPOILERS]

How did the creator of Peanuts pronounce his last name? Did you ever hear him say it? I never heard Leonardo Da Vinci pronounce his last name either, and I'm pretty sure it's not pronounced Da Vintsee, and I'd expect Jeopardy wouldn't accept that. Leo would probably have pronounced his Da Veenchee,...

Re: Thursday, June 25, 2015 Game Recap & Discussion [SPOILERS]

Considering all the admonishment we've seen over the years regarding mispronunciation of names, why is "Schultz" as the creator of Peanuts always accepted over his real name "Schulz"? I've never heard him pronounce his name, so I couldn't tell you which is the incorrect one. The one without the T B...

They had been taping July/August until October/November with previous hosts, but with Terry last year, they did a summer schedule, and this year it's more compressed into 40 tape dates over 8 weeks.
