Oh, god, this is already good.
Re: 2013 TOC Wild Card standings (Game 1 iresults included)
And now the stressed-out waiting game begins! I was in the studio audience clutching Paul's arm ALL DAY LONG.
Re: 2013 TOC Wild Card standings (Game 1 iresults included)
What else would you do during this all day wait?

I wouldn't feel safe if I was 2nd or 3rd. Was it the category or just an overall cautiousness?
Re: 2013 TOC Wild Card standings (Game 1 iresults included)
Both, actually. I didn't like the category, and as it was the first game I decided to play it safe and stay where I was. I was definitely bummed when I saw the question and got it right away!

I will not be able to see the next two shows until Saturday night, so there will not be any updates to the standings until then. So please refrain from commenting on the next two games until then to avoid spoilers in this thread.

Wild cards in the last four ToC's
Justin Sausville 18599 Jay Rhee 16401 Erin McLean 16003 Kara Spak 6012
Nick Yozamp 16400 Stefan Goodreau 13575 Jason Zollinger 11500 Dave Belote 4999
Cora Peck 15500 Dave Simpson 13000 Matt Kohlstedt 10600 Donna Vogel 9900
Celeste Dinucci 21800 Susan Mitchell 12200 Jeff Spoeri 12000 Cliff Galiher 11400
11,000 should hold up, but I'm sure it made for a hard day in the stands. If someone gets a FJ right and breaks 11K while losing, and we hear "You make me ill!!!" screamed from the audience. We'll know who it is.

What will be your reaction if the 13000 holds for a wildcard and if it doesnt?

Ha, then you've got someone at 11k smoked. I think I had a senior moment, which is terrible since I'm only in my mid 40's. I think you made the right play, hope it works (worked) out for you.Dr. J wrote:That's good, because I have 13,000Sherm wrote:11,000 should hold upFingers crossed!

I'm confused - why would are we having Wild Card Standings thread where we can't talk about the results?Bamaman wrote:I will not be able to see the next two shows until Saturday night, so there will not be any updates to the standings until then. I would assume that Bamaman did not have plans to be away when he started the thread.Austin Powers wrote:I'm confused - why would are we having Wild Card Standings thread where we can't talk about the results?Bamaman wrote:I will not be able to see the next two shows until Saturday night, so there will not be any updates to the standings until then. But a solution would be to have one of the mods update it. Mods? Bama?

If I had 50 cents for every math question I got right, I'd have $6.30 by now.

I would hope that if nothing else, a mod would at least fix the typo in the thread title. It hurts my eyes every time I see it.bpmod wrote:I would assume that Bamaman did not have plans to be away when he started the thread.Austin Powers wrote:I'm confused - why would are we having Wild Card Standings thread where we can't talk about the results?Bamaman wrote:I will not be able to see the next two shows until Saturday night, so there will not be any updates to the standings until then. Re: 2013 TOC Wild Card standings (Game 3 Results Included)
Thanks to whoever fixed the thread title.
Yes, I was planning to be away when I started the thread. I run it during every tournament. But I was unable to see the show as the county jail did not allow me TV privileges. I did not watch the shows until today.
These threads sometimes get a lot of responses but the last few have gotten very little discussion. The main purpose of them is to be informative, so people can see the wild card standings without having to click on several threads. I ask people not to comment if a game has not been posted because I don't want people to be spoiled unexpectedly.
But now I've caught up with the airings so now everyone can discuss the scores to their hearts content.
So now, we can say goodbye to David Gard and Joel. Normally, I'd think the others scores were pretty safe, but the boards seem to have been easier this TOC so I don't think any of them are a lock.
