Guesstimania Final Jeopardy: Week of 3/11/13 (SPOILERS)
Welcome to another edition of Guesstimania Final Jeopardy! In case you've never played before, the object of the game is to predict what percentage of Jboard members were able to correctly solve each day's Final Jeopardy! clue. To determine this, we use the results of the weekly FJ poll, which is usually posted by MarkBarrett at around 8 PM Eastern on Saturday night.
In the next post, I will list each day's FJ clues and correct responses, in case you didn't see any of them. To submit your guesses, simply give, for each day's clue, what percent of voters in the poll will check that they knew the correct response. A sample entry, if you thought that Monday's clue was really easy and Friday's was really hard, might look something like this:
M: 80
T: 70
W: 60
Th: 50
F: 25
Scoring is done by simply taking the difference between each of your guesses and the actual poll results, rounded to the nearest whole number. So if all 5 days poll at 75%, you would get 5 for Monday, 5 for Tuesday, 15, 25, and 50 for the remaining days, for a total score of 100 for all 5 days. Lowest score wins. After the poll has run for 6 days, the current results next Friday will determine the winner. I've changed the length from 7 days to 6 days, so hopefully if I can get in the habit of doing this every week, I can post the previous week's results before the new week's poll begins.
You are certainly allowed to read each day's game discussion thread, and base your guesses at least partially on how many people mention getting or not getting FJ correct. You don't have to enter before the poll is posted, but if the poll has already been posted, you should enter your guesses before you have seen the poll results. Also, please put your guesses in spoilers so that no one else accidentally sees your guesses while they are posting their own. And of course, don't look at other players' guesses before you have submitted your own. We're all pretty much on the honor system with that one.

Re: Guesstimania Final Jeopardy: Week of 3/11/13 (SPOILERS)
Here are this week's final results, with 97 votes cast as of Saturday afternoon.
The first row is the poll result, Monday to Friday. Every other line shows each player's score for M to F in order, followed by their total score, then the player's name to the far right.
It was a tight battle between several players this week, as well as Groupthink. The lead was held at varying points by jeff6286, realdeo, and cheezguyty, but in the end, the winner was...This is Kirk!, finishing with a score of 31, tied with Groupthink, and with a slim 3 point margin over realdeo. cheezguyty and myself were next, tied at 38.
I thought I was looking at a runaway victory in the early days of this poll, as I had a big lead, with a score of 22 at one point, but the Monday and Tuesday poll results just kept dropping and dropping throughout the week, with the Tess of the D'Urbervilles clue going from 69% all the way down to 55%, and the Ferdinand II clue dropping from 73% to 63% by the end of the week.
Thanks to everyone who entered, and be sure to look for the new game, to be posted shortly.
