Here's a list of all the characters, with the plays they're in listed.
http://www.opensourceshakespeare.org/vi ... isplay.php

The list doesn't include The Two Noble Kinsmen, which has fairly recently been attributed (at least in part) to Shakespeare. So if you accept that, Theseus and Hippolyta could also be correct. They also appear in A Midsummer Night's Dream.

8. Name an Old Testament King of Israel and/or Judah.
Again if no number is specified, I'm assuming the first.
For the purposes of this question, Old Testament is as defined as in the King James Version. Catholic and Greek bibles include additional books in their versions of the OT, but these books are considered Apocrypha in the KJV and by most (possibly all) Protestant denominations. The OT of the KJV corresponds to the entire Hebrew Bible cannon.
Then all the elders of Israel gathered themselves together, and came to Samuel unto Ramah, and said unto him, Behold, thou art old, and thy sons walk not in thy ways: now make us a king to judge us like all the nations.
- 1 Samuel 8:4-5
The big 3 all tied for sheep. I specified exactly what I mean by the OT to eliminate the Maccabees.

dang it, I thought those alcohol sizes qualified, but I wasn't sure! My second-worst decision of the game after the Tappan Zee/ Tri-borough coin flip. (I just thought Tri-borough would be a popular guess because the name alone indicates it deals with 3 boroughs.)

Science and Nature
9. Name a genus or species in the taxonomic family Homindae. Homindae are commonly known as “Great Apes”
You may give either the common name or scientific name for your genus or species, but these will be grouped together. Genera (genuses? geni?) and species (specieses?) will be grouped separately. If you give a sub-species, that answer will be counted correct but will be grouped with the species of which it is a part.
Hint: Gibbons are apes, but they are not Great Apes.
I hate every ape I see
From chimpan-A to chimpan-Z.
-Troy McClure
I specifically worded the question to allow for extinct genera and species. At least a few people picked up on that.
Apropos of nothing, the scientific name for the western lowland gorilla subspecies is Gorilla gorilla gorilla. I think it was named by Major Major Major Major.

No, I think that was the problem, I *did* see the hint, therefor had "gibbon" stuck in my mind "for some reason", and answered it. I feel very much like that picture of the Eastern gorilla you have.

I peeked back into JBoard a few hours too late to submit answers for this TD. However, I did write down an answer set just for fun. On the first 10 reveals, my answers earned a total of 17 points (though if I had played, they would have become 27, and my 7 non-singletons would have bestowed 7 additional points to others).

Even though I'm not entered, I hope we get to see the reveal on the 11th and 12th answers. I don't even know if I have a correct answer for #11 (I guessed Real Madrid, a soccer team). My answer for #12 is Tokyo, which in this crowd is probably the sheep (Tokyo had been scheduled to follow Berlin by hosting the 1940 Summer Olympics, but they canceled for various reasons).
