Hey, Bill—

I guess you can add these to your bibliography:
  • Chernicoff, Steve:
    • Introduction to Computers, Structured Programming, and Applications: Pascal Language Manual
      Macintosh Revealed
      • Volume One: Unlocking the Toolbox
Volume Two: Programming with the Toolbox
        Volume Three: Mastering the Toolbox
        Volume Four: Expanding the Toolbox
From Mac to Windows: Adventures of a Mac Programmer in Windowsland
Postscript Language Reference, Third Edition (ed.)
PDF Reference, Second Edition (ed.), Third Edition (ed.)
We shall not cease from exploration,
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time.

Just read up on Jeff Kirby on the J! Archive -- so strange. Is he the only contestant to sneak back onto the show like that?

Here's another one (you're behind, Bill!)--Eric Elfman, who appeared as a dialogue author from Los Angeles, California in Season 4.

2x champ from 1993 who has stuck with me. (He went simply as "H." on the show.)

Wow, thanks to Steve, Robert, Stefan, GUJeopardyFan, and gamawire for all the new additions. I will get busy with them this weekend.

As you may have surmised from my absence from the Boards, this semester has been very busy for me, and I have not been able to check in or even watch much J! these past few months. I did notice, though, that there was an author on the show recently. Can anyone remember who it was, so I can add him to the list as well? And did I miss more than just one!

Many thanks for all the help.

Cheers,
Rex

There have been at least three published authors so far this season.

Kate Horowitz is published co-author of a coffee-table book, Men and Angels: The Art of James C. Christensen (2008).
John Campbell--middle initial P.--is a (self-published) romance novelist, but out of fear of being pigeonholed, he's not saying what his pen name is.
Trauma nurse Eileen Dreyer writes romance and suspense novels and has a web site touting her as being "New York Times bestselling".

Others:
IRS agent Dori Phillips mentioned having a story accepted for publication decades ago, and is at work on a new book trilogy. FikkleFame tried to find her on Amazon, to no avail.
Jenica Jessen, one of the younger players this season, mentioned being a writer, but not sure if published. She's here, so maybe she'll chime in.
As a child Jason Newell won an award for Adventures, Incorporated (not sure if it was actually published; Google yields zilch).

Thank you, Mark and Robert. One day soon I will complete the updates, but not while I am enjoying time with my family. :)

You can add these two articles of mine to the list. I mentioned both during the interview with Alex on my first episode.

"Catholics, Constitutions, and Conventions: Bishop John England and the Democratization of American Catholicism," The South Carolina Historical Magazine 114, no. 4 (October 2013): 316-340."

"Monk in the Middle: The Awful Disclosures of the Hotel Dieu Nunnery and the Making of Catholic Identity," American Catholic Studies 125, no. 1 (Spring 2014): 25-45.

Slightly embarrassing that I haven't added this, seeing as Dan is one of my Facebook friends. Thanks for pointing it out! It has been too long since I updated the Catalog.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Drew Karpyshyn, who wrote several Star Wars books, including the Darth Bane Trilogy. He appeared on an episode in 2000, a few years before he was on the development team of Knights of the Old Republic:

Ellyn Ritterskamp: http://www.j-archive.com/showplayer.php?player_id=926 just released a book.

Haagen-Dazs is its own reward

The first "a" has an umlaut, not that I know how to make one here. Just the ice cream name is in upper case.

Hold down either ALT and type 0228 on your keypad (for a PC).

Arthur C. reviews a book over the weekend in The New York Times Book Review. As I've said before, always a good read to increase knowledge of all kinds...
