45 on this one (on par with the other two at 46 each)
Misses:
Josephine (Catherine the Great),
Collins (got as far as Suzanne and blanked despite loving the books [saving
Mockingjay for a rainy day]),
Manning (Tebow, don't laugh at least he's a football player!),
Walker (Morrison, grrrr), and
Byron (Tennyson).
That first question was a doozy -- has to be one of the hardest I've seen in one of the online tests! After that, I thought it was more or less standard stuff.
Had to use a homemade mnemonic to come up with Vassar. I think I came up with it back when "Kung Fu Panda" was a thing: Po Keeps Vast Stars; Poughkeepsie <-> Vassar. Kind of lame, but it's not all that easy to come up with something incorporating "Poughkeepsie".
I think the only place I know "cordial" (as a drink) from is
Anne of Green Gables. The Megan Follows movie version made me want to move to Prince Edward Island!
Good luck to all who took the test for real - hope that no news (for us) will be a sign of good news (for you)!
Thanks again for the recordings, sherder!
