Not mine! Ok, it's not on the dream board either just because it's so hard, but I think I'd do well enough at it...NJCondon wrote:Hardly fair, jepkid; that one's on everyone's anti-Clavin board by default.jepkid97 wrote:Before, During, and After

My dream board:
Opera
Classical Music
Food (or Cuisine or Food Network)
Historical Novels
1960s TV
Beatles Songs
My nightmare board:
Sports
Country Music
Grammy Awards
Hockey
African Geography
Rock Music After 1975
Before my audition last November, I would have included American History on my dream board. Then I got Alexander Hamilton and John Hancock mixed up, and I'm pretty sure that killed any chance I might have had of being called.

Re: Just for fun... your ideal board
I see many science fans in the posts ahead of mine. I wonder if we can convince Jeopardy! to use more. However, my concern with any general science or scientific field category is that the clue will be mangled in some way that leaves me "knowing too much" to get to the expected response. Therefore, my dream board leads off with a narrowly defined category like one that Jeopardy! has used a few times in the past...
Wheelhouses:
Reverse Elemental Latin
("Unlike past shows when we've done Elemental Latin, the clues will be in English, and the responses will be the Latin names from which their incongruous symbols are derived.")
Star Trek TOS as seen in TV Guide
("We will give you the original TV Guide episode synopsis from the 60s, and each correct response will be the corresponding episode title.")
English Cities by EPL Soccer Team Nickname
At the Brewery
Australian States and Territories by Towns other than Capitals
("Each clue will list the three most-populous towns other than the capital, and the correct response will be the state or territory where we found them")
Undocumented "Features" in Railroad Tycoon II, Platinum Edition
... And as you can see, I used some Clavin-level imagination on a couple of the other cats. It's a dream right?
On the flip side, I would probably put down my signaling device and call a shuttle to the airport if I encountered the following:
Hammer-houses:
Old Opera
Sleeping with the Stars
(I would try it, hoping to find astro, but alas, it will be all Hollywood gossip.)
Minor characters in less-popular Shakespearean plays
Oprah reads Rap / Hip Hop Lyrics
("Give us the title")
Performers known only to HBO subscribers
And, just when you thought it couldn't possibly get any worse...

Is that a Hidden Instrument in your pocket, or a New Weapon? Wait a minute, what's That Funky Music I'm hearing? It isn't coming from the Radio. This is starting to feel like an episode of The Twilight Zone. Someone please put me out of my Misery!Rex Kramer wrote:I’m going to have to go with
