Approximately 750 feet separate the brass and terrazzo monuments to these two US presidents.

Who are Reagan and Trump? (Hollywood Walk of Fame)
I don't think I'd be off-base complaining about the choice of the word "monument" here.
It struck me as odd too. But what word would you suggest?
tiles
markers?
Commemorations? (Although that may be slightly negbaity, as one could read it as being a commemoration to their presidency, which is not the case here).

It did get narrowed down.
I'll be darned -- guess I shared writer's opinion that it would be a good FJ topic. Glad Sg has a great memory.

I knew this one, and it's not because I'm smart. I'm pretty sure this fact came up recently on the board although for the life of me I can't remember the context.

I got it on an educated guess, as I knew the Statue of Liberty was a gift from France.

Good clue, with a tricky TOM, but is the Ring Cycle a single opera?

Too bad they couldn't stretch it to a fifth day, call it the Five Golden Ring Cycle for the holidays.

No, the Ring Cycle is 4 operas, not an opera in 4 parts. And there would be nothing odd about an opera company doing 4 performances of a single opera over 4 days, so that's not an easy way in, either...

Yeah, I'm with Davey (as I invariably am, right Davey?) I thought of the Ring Cycle as possibly corresponding to the four nights, but there was nothing about St. Petersburg that made that seem particularly plausible. In fact, the location was sort of an anti-TOM for me and I tried to re-orient myself (ha ha) toward Russian works. I ended up going with The Nutcracker, but that's silly too. The December dates don't suggest a postponement.

The clue could be retooled to refer to the Bayreuth Festival which did indeed suspend performances for this summer. But it doesn't look like they were planning to do a whole Ring Cycle, just Walküre. (I could be wrong there.) However, rehearsal suspensions have led them to postpone their new (I think next?) Ring Cycle to 2022. There's a clue in there somewhere.

I see what you're saying, but I'm not quite buying it. "Performance" can be pluralized for the reason you suggest, but I don't think it needs to be. It can simply be used as a synonym for "performing". Even if I completely agreed with you, I'd say the distinction is far too subtle. There have been far worse syntactical nightmares in FJ clues. I don't trust the writers enough to seize upon so fine a distinction and let it govern my response. I still say the Bayreuth angle is the way to go. The St. Petersburg venue is a red herring and a distractor.
