The international airport serving this city has never recorded a temperature above 80 °F, and has recorded temperatures below freezing in every month of the year.

What is La Paz? (due to high altitude)
I had the right idea but went with
Spoiler
Quito, Ecuador - 9,350′ above sea level.
Spoiler
Quito has another interesting distinction - highest average UV index of any world capital, thanks to elevation and latitude. Its UV index can be as high as 24, which I found shocking because I always thought it was a 1-10 scale!

The landing spots in the other countries are French territories so you've never left France even though you've left Europe. Thus, domestic flights, not international.

Unfortunately, the parallel case for the Academy Awards is way too tough. Maybe the GOAT players could tell you the only person to win an Oscar for playing a character named Oscar. But even for them I bet it's too hard. (And don't even think of Liam Neeson because a) he didn't win, and b) Schindler's wasn't Oscar; he was Oskar.)
Spoiler
Edmond O'Brien won Best Supporting Actor for playing Oscar Muldoon in The Barefoot Contessa (1954).
I'm betting no Emmys have won an Emmy. Probably a grandma or two who's won a Grammy.

Not sure why you jumped onto character names, but the only Oscar to win an Oscar is actually a pretty cromulent trivia question.

For other crossovers...

Name the only show where a guy named Tony won an acting Emmy and, in a different year, his co-star won an acting Emmy for playing an Oscar
If you get this, you get two more down below
The Odd Couple
Name a Tony who's won an acting Emmy
For extra credit, try someone different from the guy in the first clue (two choices, three roles).
Tony Randall (Odd Couple). Tony Hale (Veep). Tony Shalhoub (Monk AND The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel) (Extra credit if you thought of Toni Collette even though she doesn't count.)
Name an Oscar who's won an acting Emmy
Don't bother trying
{EMPTY SET}
Name someone who's won an acting Emmy for playing an Oscar
There's only one
Jack Klugman (Oscar Madison)
Name someone who's won an acting Emmy for playing a Tony
For extra credit, name a second. To demonstrate complete knowledge, name a third.
Art Carney (Tony in Terrible Joe Morgan). Robert Blake (Det. Tony Barretta). James Gandolfini (Tony Soprano).

Didn't remember the director but was pretty confident when I came up with a movie and a star that fit the bill.

If someone wants a writing assignment.

Ken Jennings's Tuesday trivia used the name Olympia Lightning in asking for the father, Usain Bolt. Serena Williams's daughter is Alexis Olympia. There has to be something there with the name sharing that could make a FJ! clue.

Well, Alexis Olympia Ohanian. Might make it a bit tricker as a middle name.
