Jeopardy!'s returning to GSN
If you're like me and canceled the Game Show Network because they stopped showing Jeopardy! reruns, good news: Starting this weekend, Jeopardy! will air on Saturday and Sunday mornings at 8 a.m. Central. I learned this from the blog Game Show Kingdom (http://gskingdom.blogspot.com/2011/08/g ... anges.html), and my on-screen guide confirms it! Hooray!
Re: Jeopardy!'s returning to GSN
Even cooler, it looks like the episode this Saturday (and probably Sunday, I was too lazy to check) is one from 1984 that has yet to be archived! It's a lost episode! (Or something like that.)
Re: Jeopardy!'s returning to GSN
Actually, I don't know it's from 1984 because I remember when it aired before it said 1984 in the description because that was the year it first started but the shows they were showing were definitely not from 1984.

It doesn't look like it's on the Canadian network though ;-(

Woo, they do exist on the website guide. Now I'll just have to verify on the DVR later.

Why, do you only get a certain number of channels or something?laubla999 wrote:Now which channel to cancel? ;-/

My package is 20 channels for $20 (plus the base fee, of course). So to get a new channel, I must give up on one I don't like as much ;-/

Yeah, I'm curious as to which provider allows that degree of a la carte selection.

Videotron (only in Québec, I think!)
Re: Jeopardy!'s returning to GSN
Depending on what the base fee is, I'd jump all over that offer.alietr wrote:Yeah, I'm curious as to which provider allows that degree of a la carte selection.

Basic service for tv is $21/mo.econgator wrote:Depending on what the base fee is, I'd jump all over that offer.alietr wrote:Yeah, I'm curious as to which provider allows that degree of a la carte selection.
Pack. 20 channels is $24/mo - there has been increase in the price ;-(
+$3 for HD.
+ taxes (of course)
But I get 2 rebates because internet and phone are with the same provider.
Re: Jeopardy!'s returning to GSN
I went to the episode on my grid and clicked on info and it said epidoe unknown. It also said 1984, but I think that was just the year the series started. An unarchived episode would be great, if there was a way to deduce the day it aired.kingskip wrote:Actually, I don't know it's from 1984 because I remember when it aired before it said 1984 in the description because that was the year it first started but the shows they were showing were definitely not from 1984.

Re: Jeopardy!'s returning to GSN
Yes, they often use the year of debut on TV listings I've found (imdb does it too). But what I'm wondering is, unless you actually saw an actual date in 1984, jepkid, why would you think it's an unarchived episode? We have several from 1984 in the archive ...jepkid97 wrote:Even cooler, it looks like the episode this Saturday (and probably Sunday, I was too lazy to check) is one from 1984 that has yet to be archived! Saturday's episode is from 10-21-05, fully archived.
Re: Jeopardy!'s returning to GSN
That's about where they were when GSN discontinued Jeopardy! on 4/1/10. They aired Season 22 in its entirety from 4/3/09 to 2/18/10, then were in the process of repeating it when they dropped it from the schedule.Bamaman wrote:Saturday's episode is from 10-21-05, fully archived.

Re: Jeopardy!'s returning to GSN
Dumb wager by the champ in the game. He went all in from third place for no reason and cost himself a third win. The leader didn't bet enough to cover second, but won anyway.
I went to the GSN website and on their Jeopardy! page it said they still aired the show twice a day.

Re: Jeopardy!'s returning to GSN
According to my Zap2It (I forgot to watch or record the episode), it was from a date in December 1984 in which there was a huge gap between archived games.dhkendall wrote:Yes, they often use the year of debut on TV listings I've found (imdb does it too). Today's episode was the next one after Saturday's.
