Well, Ken Jennings was on the former CBS Early Show in July 2004, even before his losing episode taped, and was also on Letterman that same month.

He came back to Letterman on the same night the episode aired he was defeated.


So who knows what's in store for Julia this wk?

I might tend to suspect the opposite. Assuming that J! is hoping to drum up some publicity/viewership surrounding her run, it seems odd to have her go on RIGHT before losing, which would surely disappoint anyone tuning in to see the outstanding gameplay of a 20-game champion they just learned about. It also may just be that they're doing it now because it's the first GMA episode since she reached the #2 wins spot and that future outcomes are irrelevant to the appearance.

I've heard several times that Julia taped her shows in January and February. Since she has been on for four weeks she must lose at some time in June. Hopefully late in June. I like her style.

Perhaps you're unaware of their standard taping schedule. Technically, she could have won ~79 games taping in two months.
