My understanding is that the new Gawker (2021-present) is very different from the original Gawker (2002-2016). The earlier Gawker was a gossipy muckraking website. They also used doxxing methods to unmask some notable anonymous people on the internet. They were shut down in 2016 because of a Hulk Hogan sex tape-related lawsuit.

It looks like Gawker relaunched in July of this year, this time as a publisher of op-eds (I think). That Jeopardy! article looks like absolute dunderheaded nonsense, but they also published a very good polemic against recent n+1 articles, so I wouldn't rule them out as a publisher of garbage just yet.
"n+1 articles"?

n+1 is a literary and culture magazine. It has never been mentioned on Jeopardy!, as far as I know, but it was one of my favorite online magazines for a while, although I haven't read it regularly in a few years so I'm not sure what it's like these days.
My lucky numbers are 6, 66, and 666.

Always a target of Gawker, by the way. Google them or Gawker "Keith Gessen", its founder.

That's adorable. I'm sending it to my husband right now.
Edited to include this, discovered on the same guy's channel:

The chaos around Mike Richards and the search for a new Jeopardy host got a brief mention on Last Week Tonight with John Oliver Sunday.

Here's a fun article about Matt's missed e.l.f. cosmetics clue and the company's response.

Great job so far, guys! You dodged giving that dude [picture of Richards] the job permanently and right now we've got someone absolutely free of controversy, Mayim Bialik, a person I think is great cause I don't have Google...

He was quoting the show, so used italics to indicate they are not his words.

Is that a vote or a venting of spleen? I guess that's Gawker, and I suspect that the 3 references on that page to MB's support for Israel account for the tone more than anything...(Stated as an MB nonfan.)
Well, it's not really Gawker, it's the Lady Stoneheart of Gawker
Looks like some websites don't even have the decency to stay dead.

My wife mentioned to me that Matt Amodio is going to be on Good Morning America on Monday. She was worried that meant he was going to lose, since that seems to be the usual procedure. Hopefully it's simply because he moved into second place for total wins.

There's a Mexican Radio parody there, I'm sure of it...

Local anchor on WGN-Chicago just reported on Matt Amodio's latest milestone and mispronounced his name three different ways, never once right.
