Nothing Can Stop Matt Amodio
As ‘Jeopardy!’ strives to move beyond recent turmoil, 23-time champ Amodio is ready to take center stage
There's been a lot of speculation that MB is too busy to host J! on a permanent basis, but it sure sounds to me like she wants the job. I agree that her improvisational skills and acting background serve her well in this role.squarekara wrote: ↑Mon Sep 20, 2021 8:58 pm Newsweek: Mayim Bialik: I'd Give Up My First Child to Host Jeopardy! It's odd that she doesn't mention her sitcom at all in that article...cinemaniax7 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 22, 2021 11:42 amThere's been a lot of speculation that MB is too busy to host J! on a permanent basis, but it sure sounds to me like she wants the job. Clearly she doesn't want to accidentally gain new viewers and have the thing be picked up for another year.davey wrote: ↑Wed Sep 22, 2021 12:08 pmIt's odd that she doesn't mention her sitcom at all in that article...cinemaniax7 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 22, 2021 11:42 amThere's been a lot of speculation that MB is too busy to host J! on a permanent basis, but it sure sounds to me like she wants the job. Is that a vote or a venting of spleen? I guess that's Gawker, and I suspect that the 3 references on that page to MB's support for Israel account for the tone more than anything...(Stated as an MB nonfan.)Bamaman wrote: ↑Fri Sep 24, 2021 6:17 pm Here’s one vote against Bialik getting the permanent gig.

The author states Mayim is destroying Jeopardy after watching one episode. One. That’s an instant loss of credibility. Also the fact Burton was mentioned as a serious candidate.Bamaman wrote: ↑Fri Sep 24, 2021 6:17 pm Here’s one vote against Bialik getting the permanent gig.

On the "good" side, she's still dismissive of himGolf wrote: ↑Fri Sep 24, 2021 6:43 pmAlso the fact Burton was mentioned as a serious candidate.Bamaman wrote: ↑Fri Sep 24, 2021 6:17 pm Here’s one vote against Bialik getting the permanent gig.

My understanding is that the new Gawker (2021-present) is very different from the original Gawker (2002-2016). The earlier Gawker was a gossipy muckraking website. They also used doxxing methods to unmask some notable anonymous people on the internet. They were shut down in 2016 because of a Hulk Hogan sex tape-related lawsuit.
