The Ringer has penned some nice pieces about the show in the past, and here's one more, a predictions article ahead of the GOAT tourney. Nice to see Reddit and JBoard both get shout outs.

Ratings for the first two GOAT episodes are strong. One might even say awesome. From Variety today:

"The audience for Jeopardy: Greatest of All Time was even greater on Night 2 than on Night 1. On Wednesday, Part 2 of the dream match between Ken Jennings, James Holzhauer and Brad Rutter averaged 14.824 million total viewers, up from Tuesday’s 14.367 million tally."

I figured there would be a dropoff for day 2, very exciting to see it actually gain viewers. Hopefully those ratings will hold through this week and next, and then the networks will all fall over themselves racing to put quiz shows on the air again.

they won't do that based on these ratings, they are smart enough to know that over 6 million watch Jeopardy on a regular day, and that audience would be enough for the networks to do it...yet they don't.

I've never seen them there.
I was wondering about that myself

From what I remember of old discussions, interview transcriptions are (or can be) entered in J! Archive. They aren't displayed anywhere on the site, but the script that generates recap posts for J! Board has access to it and includes transcripts when available.

As someone who's done a Lord of the Rings extended marathon...that sounds -exhausting-

Doesn't surprise me....my guide still shows reruns of The Conners, The Goldbergs, and 20/20. Given the great ratings, and the large number of people who weren't able to find J!, a Saturday rerun night makes sense.

I still don't quite get the mass confusion over "OMG, Jeopardy! switched channels!" I don't know where or when I learned it, but I figured out the whole syndication vs. network thing at a pretty young age. When I was little, I knew that Chrissy was still on Three's Company in the afternoon, but she was gone at night.

When I was little, we had "Happy Days Again," "Laverne & Shirley & Company," and "CHiPs Patrol."

I remember when my local station announced they were going to start carrying “Happy Days Again” and I thought it was going to be a new program.

Will be interesting to see the Live+7 numbers for the GOAT episodes...I wonder if they'll benefit more from viewers who recorded them, than the average live sporting event.

Alex Jacob (omgwheelhouse here) has been posting some great Jeopardy stuff on twitter recently. Including this recap of Brad Rutter dominating the Ultimate Tournament of Champions final game:
