I do not remember when I last drank a milkshake or where I got it, but I correctly guessed chocolate because it is a mainstream flavor.
But wait. It could literally be any Hudson. Kate Hudson, Tim Hudson, Jennifer Hudson!

My point is that I outright didn't know the response, and when it was revealed I thought they were talking about some other Hudson. My knowledge of Hudson begins and ends with "explorer".

Also, I guess I'm not mainstream enough when it comes to milkshakes.

I never heard of the Old South Meeting House, but I have heard of the Old North Church and knew it to be in Boston. The photo showing the town on the water was consistent with Boston so I went for it.

You get about 15 seconds, including time to read the clue.
What led to Romaine over iceberg on Hamburger for 200? Iceberg seemed more obvious as "type of lettuce".
Component of Caesar salad.
I got aioli entirely from a previous debate on whether or not it was undervalued at $200.
Grats! I slept through that and missed it.
I had no guess on FJ! Tons of California cities have two names, and unless you know the hyper-obscure detail of what college a lesser president graduated from, there is no way in hell you're getting this. Unless you're my mom and you pull Palo Alto entirely out of thin air. Exactly how was this gettable by any other means?
You have to know all the President's wives, kids, pets, birth and death places, libraries and colleges, as well as dates in office, party, etc. etc. etc. I feel pretty silly for knowing Hoover went to Stanford, was the only Engineer President and only Sec Commerce to be elected to Prez, and yet overlooked where the heck is Stanford?! Apparently, news programs bring up that factoid all the time.

Fantastic! Aced it, ty for posting! Yes every one of them is DD FJ fodder. If you don't recognize their portraits, mouseover to read the clues. Fun! :D

You need to get out more.
Sure, I'll drive 90 minutes to Saginaw just for a salad.
You gotta move beyond your personal experiences to learn and know stuff. I have never had foie gras (and don't want to) but I know it's made from goose liver.

Mostly pizzerias and fast food. And a crappy Chinese restaurant where everything tastes way too damn sweet. Exactly how does one screw up Kung pao that badly?

I had a Caesar salad from McDonald's once. You can also get it at pretty much any diner. There is nothing fancy about it.

I don't recall seeing it at the only "diner" in town, which specializes in breakfast and hot dogs, and isn't even open for dinner hours.

As several of us have pointed out, you don't need to have personally experienced things to know facts about them, but it sound as though you may just need to move. I'm not a particularly hoity-toity dude, but what you describe sounds like an economic and cultural hellhole. There are plenty of places in this country with vibrant economies, nice places to live, and a wide variety of experiences to be had. Go west (or south, or whatever), young man.
Sprinkles are for winners.

Or at least do some traveling. It's much easier to remember things you've experienced in person. Being there and seeing it is the ultimate mnemonic.

TPH-The places mentioned on the Lucy clue were the names of the club where Ricky worked. While they served food, they weren't really a restaurant. Still, if you ever watched the show, the names should be familiar.
