11/8: $12,400 (FJ: )
This might just be the best score I will ever have in a TOC game.

Re: Season 28 Coryats Thread (POSSIBLE SPOILERS)
11/2* - $9,800 [$17,400 - totally flunked the DJ round on what seemed like some wheelhouse cats]
11/3* - $20,000 [$25,400 - I was much more prepared for the harder material and faster play today]
11/4* - $10,800 [$21,800 - very disappointing to see that I lost more to negs than I earned from correct answers ]
11/7* - $12,200 [$20,400 - some rotten luck tonight as 6 of my 8 negs were the results of bad coin flips]
11/8* - $28,600 [$31,600 - things finally went my way and the DJ was my best ever round in a ToC!]
ToC QF avg: $16,280 (a small improvement over my $14,400 from last year)

Retroactive TOC QF Coryats, going off of the archive (I watched all of them, but the archive is only updated to the last four games (oh not they're not superhuman wah). With that said, for the 11/8 game...just give me a zero. Wah.

I've more than exceeded my goals for this TOC by hitting the $10K mark three times... and the tournament's not even over yet! Now if only I could get a FJ right.

Re: Season 28 Coryats Thread (POSSIBLE SPOILERS)
11/9: $10,600. Just not my day, combined with a TOC board. The pop culture categories found my weaker points (Sports - Olympics, Opera and Bond Movies), and I was really bad on categories like the Politicos and Twins that I can usually do well in.

My stunning run in the TOC continues! I chalk it up to doing an excellent job of staying clam... but with this being the TOC, that isn't too hard. You know the clues are extra-tough, so you know you have to be more careful than usual.

11/9* $26,000 [$27,000 - it's amazing what keeping your negs to a minimum can do for your score]
11/10* $31,000 [$33,200 - I actually broke $30K in a ToC game! ]
11/11* $30,400 [$30,600 - I don't know how I'm doing this... I never have this good a week during regular play]
ToC SF avg: $29,133 (a vast improvement over my $19,000 from the last go-around)

Considering the players in this one, I'm led to believe that unlike the regular games, they pick which game gets which set of clues based on who's playing. Clearly, this was the toughest set of clues yet.
