OPENING REMARKS
Alex: Thank you, Johnny. Thank you, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to our program. Family bragging rights are at stake on our show today. Kristin's husband was once a contestant on Jeopardy! and won six games. She's already won three. Will she be able to match that six? Pauline and Darren will have something to say about that. CONTESTANT INTERVIEWS

Alex: Darren Shea is from Texas, and I've said this on many occasions on our program. Many of our contestants are collectors, and you collect something that I once collected also. Comic books, right?

Darren: Correct. I have about--

Alex: Comic-book characters are so popular now--

Darren: Oh, yes.

Alex: --in motion pictures. How many comics do you have?

Darren: I have about 7,000 comic books.

Alex: Hello. So, you must have early editions of comics that should be worth a lot of money?

Darren: Some. I've got some Spider-Man issues from the mid '60s.

Alex: Yeah? Are they still making a lot of comics now?

Darren: Oh, yeah. They're still putting them out. They're doing digital now.

Alex: Oh.

Darren: A lot of digital comic books these days.

Alex: Okay. Good.

Alex: Pauline Sholtys is from Connecticut, and this woman has played in a handbell, uh, choir.

Pauline: Yes.

Alex: For how many years?

Pauline: Almost 30 years.

Alex: Now, are--is this like the old school bells?

Pauline: No. Each bell corresponds to, uh, say, a key on a piano. So you play very complicated music with them. And the smaller the bell is, the, uh, higher the note.

Alex: How many in the group?

Pauline: We have up to, say, 10 people now.

Alex: So, you have to play more than one bell?

Pauline: Oh, yes. I play very small ones, the high notes. And, uh, so I often have two in each hand. And I sometimes play up to nine different bells in one piece.

Alex: Wow. You're a talented lady. All right.

Alex: We've come to our champion now. We have good news for you. Our judges are in a good mood as we start this week. And your response of "strong-arm" has been accepted. So you're picking up $800, and that will take you to $5,600. That make you feel good?

Kristin: Yes, it does.

Alex: All right, well, let's go on and continue the game. And you're in command of the board. So go ahead, make a selection.

TRIPLE STUMPERS IN THE JEOPARDY! ROUND
SPORTS JEOPARDY $600: A runner breaking for the plate on the pitch as the batter tries to bunt is this "deadly" type of squeeze play

SCORES AT THE END OF THE JEOPARDY! ROUND
Kristin: $9,600
Darren: $7,000
Pauline: $1,800

Could've gotten FJ just by the last name. That was a top-row clue.

What was an american state flag doing in that category? That was supposed to be a run for me. Grumble grumble.

Johnny was sounding weak the last couple weeks, but today's intro seemed really amped. Did he chug a Monster an hour before, as I did?

Didn't know Nancy Reagan's maiden name and NHO that Huffington guy, but 3/5 wasn't bad for me.

23/30, with runs of Any Other Name and Body Part Verbs, and everything but Durocher (NHO) in They Said It. (I swear, I'm seeing more 23s than Walter Sparrow right now...)

Everything but Canon in Machine, but otherwise, DJ! wasn't as kind to me. Saw no way to get Phantom at $400.

Lach Trash: Suicide, Boston Globe, television.

Instaget FJ! My sister was a bit too old for the show when it came out, but I'm still aware of the show thanks to several preschool-age family members over the years.

Congratulations, Kristin, on another win and a strong game! I had 43 correct responses including the triple stumper of "suicide squeeze play" and also "television sets" which was a missed DD. Instaget FJ.

They should have not taken just Mousetrap for the name of the play.

Kristin kicked ass. Was really hoping to see her go TDD on clue 5, answer correctly, then look at her challengers as if to say game over. :D

Thought the female challenger played an excellent game as well.

No real surprise to see the players leave the sports category for last, pretty cool though to see the lady nail Leo the Lip.

I'd go with the opposite and say they shouldn't have negged it in the first place.

Good job Kristin! Hope you beat hubby's record... :D

Ran the Hitchcock category, and the London stage as well.

Flubbed FJ... that's what happens you don't have kids in the house.

Much to my surprise, also ran the Sports category. Does this mean I should try out for Sports Jeapordy?

Hah-hah-hah.

Instagot Diego. Well played game. K was on fire and seeming more comfortable ~ most likely good for TOC.

You might want to double check if that was an instaget if you answered Diego. The correct response was Dora the Explorer. I wondered if Diego would be a second valid answer, it looks like his show debuted in 2005, and his first appearance with Dora was in 2003. He's Dora's cousin, and Wiki does list his last name as Marquez, but it would have to be ruled incorrect since he didn't debut in the right year.
