You could actually get less than this I believe. If you passed a Top Ten Challenge when you had a strike or two and your opponent wasn't able to complete it, and then you immediately miss 2 in a row and do it again. And so on.
And if you go second in a Battle and they get it wrong on their first guess, you win and erase your strikes.

"Footwear"
I tied BahnamanS in our Style2 LL Mini-League match earlier this year, so my money would be on Colby.

I'm probably a little more familiar with the context of 500 Questions than you are. It was clear from the beginning that there was no requirement to answer 500 questions correctly, and the person who is imagining a different context in which such a requirement is implied is you.

Rex
I was not referring to the players' expectations. I was referring to the way in which the audience was being misled.

There are two possible things being implied: 1) "answer 500 questions [correctly]"; or 2) "[provide an] answer [to] 500 questions." The rules of the game require neither of those things. So which is a more reasonable construction? The one that hypes the game and the players by eliding the fact that you don't actually have to give 500 correct answers, or the one that would allow for anyone off the street to be able to win the game?

Jeff, your efforts at mediation are appreciated, but what could be more fun than arguing semantics with a college professor?

The emotive display over Seaborgium was pretty hilarious.

"Which one are you kicking yourself for missing?"

"Seaborgium, of course!"

And I died laughing.
