Hey, somebody has a new novel out!
I beg the indulgence of my fellow J! board members to announce that my seventeenth novel, BLOOD FOAM, has just been published.
It's the ninth novel in my Lewis Cole mystery series, although it certainly can be read as a standalone.
Booklist, one of the premier book review magazines out there, gave it a starred review and said, in part, "DuBois gives the reader both exquisite suspense and deeply realized characters." Not bad, eh?
Below is the link to my publisher, which in turn offers a few links where you can purchase the book on-line. Or, you can obviously order it via your local bookstore.
Also, any J! board member who wants to, can buy the book and mail it to me with an SASE, and I'd be glad to sign it and ship it back.
Thanks!

We could put together an interesting Jeopardy game board using your book titles.

Very cool! I just saw you also have a short story in a book called Manhattan Mayhem. Bravo!

Congrats, Brendan! If one was to start diving into your bibliography, is there a reading order you suggest? I'm sure I'm not the only one wondering.

I enjoy a good mystery, so I would like that too. The first in the series, Dead Sand, is quite the bargain on Kindle ($2.39 US, $2.99 CDN). Here's the link for anyone else interested in reading. http://www.amazon.com/Dead-Sand-Lewis-C ... op?ie=UTF8Dr. J wrote:Congrats, Brendan! Re: Hey, somebody has a new novel out!
I am about 30 pages into Primary Storm having not read any of Brendan's prior work, and I don't feel like I'm coming in in the middle of the story or anything.
Sprinkles are for winners.

Re: Hey, somebody has a new novel out!
Thanks for pointing that out... I'd like to think all of my Lewis Cole mystery novels are good as stand-alines, but there are references to earlier works. The Cole series --- in order --- is DEAD SAND, BLACK TIDE, SHATTERED SHELL, BURIED DREAMS, KILLER WAVES, PRIMARY STORM, DEADLY COVE, FATAL HARBOR, and now, BLOOD FOAM.cmp146 wrote:I enjoy a good mystery, so I would like that too. My stand-alone thrillers can be read any ol' way...

Sure, it's a zombie thread, but if you're going to share the cover with someone, that's a pretty impressive name to be there with:

I will have to give Dead Sand a try. Now that Sue Grafton is gone, I need a new series to read...and if it's a series, I just find it better to start at the beginning.

Passed on a recommendation to my spouse, who is a big fan of mystery series with a continuing central character. he was impressed to see the high % of 4 & 5 star reviews on Amazon, so it looks like you'll have another new reader.

Saw the Patterson/DuBois title on the bestseller list in Sunday's Arts section and was like 'Wait a minute...' Very cool, Brendan!
