Took tonight's for practice, going for realsies tomorrow; 45/50.

Misses:
Train (WAG of Thames)
Adult Coloring Books (No guess)
Chlorine (Sulfur)
Lake Geneva (Almost got this one right but got thrown by how much the name given in the clue looked like Loch Lomond, even though that's not even in continental Europe)
Geotag (No guess)
Sprinkles are for winners.

First test for funsies! 42/50 by my own count via the YouTube video, after cross-checking after each one via Google, and double-checking with the answers in this thread.

Don Quixote as the first answer of my first post-J! testing experience gave me a REAL big smile after successfully doing my whole "token of favour" thing with the drumsticks on the show itself this past year. My folks went on a trip to Spain right before I got The Call and brought me home a little Don Quixote statue, to symbolize the hope that this would be the year my impossible dream stopped being so impossible. It now stands guarding both drumsticks and J! pens.

I WAS TOLD THERE WOULD BE NO MATH.

I said "geostamp" instead of "geotag," I take it that doesn't count? I didn't count it.

I learned from my J! Archive studying that anytime there's a modern-day male country singer whom I don't recognize, I should just say "Blake Shelton." My habit served me well. Why the writers are so smitten with him, that I do not know.

Does anyone really call them ACBs? I have NEVER seen that abbreviation used.

Spleen? Why am I thinking of spleen? It can't be spleen? I'm going to put "spleen." Oh, hey, it's a spleen.

If Lampy's answers are correct (seem right to me), I got 40. 2 wrong's made me kind of grumpy; I still think the "genus" question is ambiguously phrased (since I wrote "horse" apparently misunderstanding the question). The other's all on me; I could not say "downton" to save my life and was screaming at the clock while brain-froze. It's not like I don't own all the DVD's...flaming idiot me. Knew the Abbey Road part but doubt they will credit me for it.

Also had "joseph" rather than "Daniel", "train" was a minor brain-freeze as well and ran out of time, could not say "Geneva" and wrote "Lake Zurich" knowing I was blanking . Frustrating test; more accurately, frustrating brain. Feeling a bit Alzheimered this am. Got quite a few that stumped others; I always find it interesting to see what people found were hard questions, so thanks for posting those, folks.

I did get a confirmation email about 90 minutes after completing the test, though it seems most who had "incomplete" have resolved whatever. I do know when I signed up last month, they gave me a runaround wanting contact info on my profile before I could proceed, so perhaps those who are still having problems might check that.
Pending...

Spike Lee, chlorine, Lake Geneva, and geotag were lucky guesses, but even without them I had the other 43 pretty easily.
I got 47 also. That was just intended to be a key.

Going from the posted answers I scored 44 out of 50. Missed:
"train" (said "omnibus)
"almond" (said "walnut)
"adult coloring book" (incomplete answer)
"21" (said "7")
"Felicity" (said "Gilmore Girls")
"Taming of the Shrew" (guessed "Twelfth Night"),
"Elen sila lumenn omentielvo...A star shines on the hour of our meeting."

I'm sitting here crossing my fingers hoping they accept "Velveteen Rabbi" as a valid answer.

If that's not a book yet, it should be. :D

Edit: Alternative title of "How Oys become real"?

21, Daniel, Taming of the Shrew, and Sleeping Beauty were all realized at second 14.5 Didn't leave any blanks, but saw the incorrect answers go "ding!" :(
Capillary action, I knew but drew a total blank.
Geotagging, I read the question wrong.
They probably won't take Spike Jonz for Spike Lee. Too bad, Spike is such a common name...

It looks like I got 42. Except for 21, I knew was wrong when I wrote these, but it doesn't do to leave a clue blank

Missed:
anthropology (said sociology)
crete (said cyprus)
21 (said 3, then changed it to 7, never even thought about 21)
adult coloring book (said quilts)
wikileaks (thought of it at the last moment, erased my wrong answer, but only got the w in before time ran out)
velveteen rabbit (said calico rabbit)
daniel (said solomon)
sleeping beauty (said Hansel & Gretel; thought of Swan Lake at the last moment)
Teems with quiet fun.

I got 34 right on this one, viewing the video. My studying for the test over the last few weeks did pay off on a couple of these. I would have gotten 35 right but I changed "Target" to "Old Navy" (I seem to remember a dog being part of the advertisements once upon a time). Taking the test for real tonight.

BTW...I agree with a lot of you about "Adult Coloring Book". I'm up a lot late at night and see these books advertised frequently during commercial breaks but have NEVER seen them abbreviated ACB. There appear to be more and more of them here of late so is this like a new fad for stress relief?

Sorry to say this, but you gave me a good feeling. Many of those were ones I made an educated guess on (21 & wikileaks I knew cold, ACB no clue). But I got 4 of the 5 that I guessed on. :-)

Just checked Lampy's answers and I got 36 assuming those are the correct answers. Pop culture and the arts (except Warhol) did me in.

MitchO: Very funny

immaf: Cool, that's an awesome way of looking at things.

Don't be sorry. I am delighted to give you a good feeling. I am pleased with my (probable) score of 42. May we both be chosen for an in-person test!

Rachel Barenblat, the "Velveteen Rabbi," is an American poet and blogger who was ordained as a rabbi in 2011 and as a spiritual director in 2012...
Immaf, I said sociology for anthropology, and Solomon for Daniel too.

Taking it from sherder's video (thanks!), I got a 40/50, which makes this the toughest test for me in several years. My misses were #6, #9 (said 7), #13, #18, #22 (said PineSol), #34, #35 (said As You Like It - brain cramp), #37, #40 (said Cinderella), #41 (said tag). Best WAG of the night: Cardigan.

It was the greatest common factor.

Thanks... back to math class for me...
Ugh. Back to reading class for me. I was looking for the least common denominator/factor. Not that would have helped, as I "solved" it as 7, not 3. So I guess it's back to reading class and back to math class.

What was the clue in the Lysol item? For me it was a total stab in the dark (Clorox). Is that year in their logo or something...?

Taking it fer real, 41. Couple points down from my prime years. No real goof-ups other than Joseph for Daniel, which I knew perfectly well. Never heard of the term ACB, though I bought one for my wife for Xmas.

Taking the test from SHerder's video (you deserve to win loads on Sports J!) I got 38. This is a lower-range score for me, normally I average around 41-42 with a high of about 46.
