Also got "incomplete" on dashboard and no confirmation email... Too bad, because I think I did real well.Muaddib777 wrote:I took the test, didnt experience any trouble logging in. I finished the test but now it says INCOMPLETE under my dashboard on the Jeopardy website under the Test Taken? Any one else have this issue? What does it say if you have completed the exam?
Thanks

Basically, in the scientific name Equus Quagga, Quagga is the species and Equus is this classification.goongas wrote:What was the question for #39? I misread it for sure, as I said horse for the answer.

I wasn't able to log in either. I'm booked tomorrow night, so I sure hope the site works on Thursday. Looks like I will have to take the test at 10 pm Central time.
I was finally able to get the password reset to work — but the site won't take any new password I try!
WHAT is going on?!

Anyone know if whatever issue was keeping Canadians ineligible was resolved? I assume not, but I haven't really kept up with the matter.
I'm Canadian and I just entered a US ZIP code when asked for one. Even if I get an audition (which I haven't in 6 years despite 40+ scores every time), I assume I will be declared ineligible at some point in the process.

Well, guess that 5% was there for a reason .. she's not listed as ever appearing as a judge on the unofficial Chopped wiki. Bah.UniquePerspective wrote:As someone who's seen Chopped, I can't remember Padma ever being a judge on there. I could be wrong though, and I certainly haven't seen every Chopped episode.MitchO wrote:For the Padma Lakshmi question ... I know (now) that they were looking for Top Chef, but I am 95% sure that she's been a judge at least a few times on Chopped. The question specifically said "Judge", didn't it? I think that question might be ambiguous enough. I think they'll see it and count it .. which still won't get me there, but I think I was closer than last year.
BTW, "geoloc" and "adult coloring book" made me feel very TPH. Adult coloring book? Am I coloring in pictures of genitalia?

re: 'incomplete'
I'm wondering if there's some verification step or something that has to happen before the site updates your dashboard.

I've never seen her on Chopped, or on the Food Network at all. Maneet Chauhan, another Indian American female, is on pretty regularly, so maybe that's who you're thinking of?UniquePerspective wrote:As someone who's seen Chopped, I can't remember Padma ever being a judge on there. Yes, sadly, I think I'm being a terrible American and confusing the two women of the same ethnicity. Apologies to Ms. Lakshmi if she ever reads this :plisa0012 wrote:I've never seen her on Chopped, or on the Food Network at all. Looks like a 41. As usual, I missed most of my questions in the first half. I always wonder if this frontloading of difficulty is deliberate to test one's fortitude.
Anyone else think they were subliminally helped by the Spike Lee question for the later The Voice question?
Had a couple of good guesses, including "The Factory".
The math question really threw me. I'm fine with them if prepared.
Good luck to all.

First time taking it since the college test years ago. I think I got 36. What is the conventional wisdom on who gets in? Is there a range that is usually in? 36 doesn't seem that great for JBoard.

Assuming Lampy's answers are correct (big stretch), 45 for me.
What was the 'hook' for Lysol? I figured 1889 was supposed to tell me something, and thought maybe there was a (C)omet that year.
ETA: My 'incomplete' has changed to a check mark.

Sherder's video is up.
Judges:
Congesta for the wagon.
Iberia for the peninsula.
Dowton Abbey for the show (because the way the first N is sometimes not clear to me I wasn't sure whether it existed).
Thoughts?

So, Lampy, if these are in fact the correct responses, I got 36 this time (1 more than the minimum passing score). Don't know if it will be enough for TPTB to invite me to DC for an audition...Lampy wrote:Answers, I think:Spoiler
