Jeopardy taping three tournaments in D.C.

It looks like Ticketmaster doesn't have tickets left. If anyone has a spare (or two) ticket to Saturday at 2:30, Saturday at 6:45, or Sunday at 12:00, I would be most appreciative.

You can watch a live feed of the crew loading in the show, if you're into that. My old pal and roommate is walking around wearing a plaid shirt, black scarf and a Dodgers cap, getting the lights in order.

Yes, such a big treat that I completely forgot to record the event for posterity. I, unlike some here, cannot prove that I met Sarah & Kelly.

It was an even bigger treat when they remembered me the next day. And, again, I have no proof of that.

Realized I'm just missing this, as I head to DC tomorrow and head home on Sunday. Not that my work schedule would allow me to attend but I have fantasies about showing up and being asked to play again.

That's what a smiling Maggie Speak told me at a Power Players taping in '04 when I referred to myself as a "retired" contestant.

By then, Ken Jennings had at least couple of dozen wins in the can (taped, but not yet aired), and plans for the UToC might already have been afoot.

A brief report on three tapings. For the first taping, I had VIP seats. I was in the back section on the floor. For the second taping, I had 'Gold Star' seats, and was in the third row. For the third taping, I had a regular ticket. I sat in the front row. The mysteries of the Universe. All five shows were fun. Some were more serious than others. The practice rounds, though, were a lot less serious. And a lot of fun. If you're expecting all of the clues to be revealed ... well, don't.

During the practice game, Lara Logan (who is being a total goof), let's out a 'shit' when she can't ring in on a clue "Four Letter Words". She then expresses disappointment when the category has no clues left. So the next clue she picked was in "All About Necks". The clue? "This is a four letter word for the back of the neck."

During Q&A:
Me: Will you move taping here permanently?
Alex: That's not up to me.
Me: Ask Harry! (Gesturing towards where Harry was sitting)
Alex: He knows you (looking at Harry). Probably got his tickets free. Oh wait, they all got their tickets for free.

Our own Ms. Morrow asked about Alex's relationship to musk ox. And got a very detailed answer. She can cover that one should she so desire.

Almost forgot: I got a hug from Maggie. All is well in the world.
