I think he got tongue-tied in mixing up the Campys. On Fisk, I think he just saw "HOF catcher" and got ahead of himself. I did start with Pesky (his pole is in right) until Fisk's famous homer kicked in.
While his responses were bad, they weren't as bad as the lady with the exotic name guessing (I presume Jackie) Robinson for "guy who died right before integration".

Both might appear on Sports Jeopardy. Dickey appeared twice in the archive, only as clues, but not as the correct response.
