To be fair, French Kings aren't in most people knowledge base. Most have heard of Charlemagne, Louis 14 and Louis 16.

I knew it wasn't 16, so I just went 1 up to 17. I didn't know there was an 18 either.

I had the same thought as Econ, but while I knew there was an XVIII, I figured XVII came in the right timeframe.

The Koran is AD, yeah? Has to be, because it's after the Bible.
I didn't recognize the Edict of Milan, but it sounded like it had something to do with Christianity (it's actually when Roman emperor Constantine 'legitimized' Christianity in AD 313). That makes it AD too. (The city of Milan only dates back to about 300 BC.)
Hammurabi was an ancient ruler of Mesopotamia, nearly 2000 years BC. He's earliest by a long shot.

He'd have to be on the really ancient side to remember when Hammurabi's Code or the Koran came out.
Normally those "which came first?" categories scare me, but I went 5/5. I ran three others, even the Oprah's Book Club one. "You get a 5/5! You get a 5/5! Everybody gets a 5/5!"
That FJ clue was TOC-level. I knew an emperor wasn't a monarch, but it was the only guess I had.

The best I could do for this FJ was "Louis Philippe". I don't know the timeline at all, and I just knew he was a French king from the 19th century.

Muslims revere Jesus (Isa bin Maryam) as a great prophet. (For them, he is the direct predecessor of Muhammad as a prophet of Allah.)

I knew it wasn't XVII because he was a J! clue just last week! But like others, I don't remember ever reading about Louis XVIII...I thought Louis Napoleon was a better guess...
