TBH I stopped caring after the Person of Interest TS

Instaget FJ. I didn't think anyone would miss it; if they did, surely they'd miss with Oregon (Mt. Hood isn't quite tall enough, or perhaps the rest of the state is...too high). Maine!?

I usually choke big on FJs about states, but I felt pretty good about CA and WA (though I was also considering Mt. Hood in Oregon).

I was certain the aerospace engineer was going to get "dwarf planet" for the DD when Alex read the clue. :(

Congrats to Christie on her win. I had 47 correct responses including these triple stumpers: Netherlands, "Lost Horizon", United States, spruce, alabaster, "Confessions", "Infidel", "Person of Interest", Melbourne, elephant, and dwarf planet. I also got FJ.

Yeah. You could immediately discount anything other than CA, WA, and OR.

I did consider Maine, but got the right two pretty quickly.

Not a great DD bet at the end. She is already locked out, might as well bet it all to get as close as possible to the leader.

Any thoughts from non-West Coasters on the FJ? Instaget for me, but then again, I've only lived in CA, OR, and WA.

Boy, I feel like a dope... for some reason I thought "contiguous" used in this context meant two states together... i.e., California and Oregon.

You have company. I mean, I knew they wanted California and Washington, but that conflicted with the notion of them being contiguous. I just don't think I've heard contiguous applied to mean the lower 48. So, I put CA and WA to have something but kept trying to think of what other states they could be looking for.

Went for Oregon instead of Washington on FJ!. Fun fact: Two of my roommates are from Oregon (they're brothers) and the other is from Washington (I briefly lived in Spokane myself as a toddler). Which one was in the room during Final Jeopardy? The Washingtonian. :|

Same here...though funnily enough, I haven't watched (at least regularly) any of the shows/films mentioned in the category. :o

I did too - Lost remains one of my favorite TV shows of the past two decades. I stopped watching Person of Interest regularly when it moved to Thursdays, but Michael Emerson was fantastic on it when I was able to catch it.

Did Cleveland preempt the Wednesday game? My DVR failed to pick it up for some reason.

Looks like it did air. I'm just plumb out of luck.

My DVR somehow didn't record yesterday's episode as I was out of town.

Napoleon was involved with Russia?!

NHO "Paradise Lost".

WLT Philadelphia at $200?

NHO either meaning of "porter" given. My only miss in the category.

That entire Vodka category was ridiculously YEKIOYD.

Anyone clam on "Hawaii Five-O" since "Hawaii" was in the clue?

WLT "elephant" at $400? There are lots and lots of beasts of burden, and many of them are "large".

WA and OR? Both are coastal, both have big mountains. Never even considered CA because I didn't think it had any particularly noteworthy mountains.

The Philly clue mentioned Ben Franklin.

Jack Lord was only in one show I am aware of so I did not clam.

So? That doesn't mean anything. Lots of towns still have Ben Franklin craft and variety stores. Including the town I live in now.
