Using that logic, Japan makes sense, but the population is way too high.
Spoiler
EVEN using that logic, Japan makes no sense. Who exactly was carpet-bombing them during WW2 that they needed so many shelters? No one. And no, two atomic bombs are not carpet bombing, and they came at the very end of the war forcing surrender anyways, so there was no time to build more.

Um, we were? Including firebombing Japanese cities?

E.g.: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Air_raids_on_Japan

And yeah, Japan has a lot more than 9 million people.

Done and done plus I put in a place saver line for the J! champ on today's 2/23 ep. as well.

Oscars are my weak spot but I got this one. I figures one had got one for song and Halle Berry was a Best Actress. Wasn't sure about supporting actor, but figured a black winning director would have big news. I think a woman recently won that for the first time. They seemed to know it, but if you aren't sure, just bank the money and leave. He is a school teacher and looked young, so he probably could use the money and felt it wasn't worth the risk.
Spoiler
You have to be really, really, really risk averse to walk on that question – at worst a 50/50 shot to make $10k (and see another question) against losing $5k. To each his own, but it doesn't make for very compelling television.

Fantastic job by Beau. However, I did think it was funny that him and his friend thought it was likely to be Beyonce for the $500k, since that was the only response I was absolutely certain was wrong.

Beyonce generates way less controversy or arguments than the other 3 and is nowhere near as big outside of the US. (Formerly being an active one myself, I know how many Wikipedia editors are outside the US)

45,862 - George W. Bush
19,480 - Beyoncé

HAHA, the exact opposite with regards to US politics, in fact. :) No, my question was regarding Beyonce's unusually high number of edits. More edits than Israel?!?!? Is there some factor I'm missing with regards to her? I know she that she has been a pop megastar for a long time, with a few controversies, but I wouldn't expect her to be the 2nd most edited Wikipedia page, or even the 20th.

Ironically, as far as the question is concerned, Wikipedia has Israel ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia ... y#extended ) under higher edit protection than Beyonce ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia ... olicy#semi ).

That's not surprising at all. And likely why Israel has fewer edits than Beyonce, since far, far fewer editors have permission to make changes.

Note that no one said that Beyonce was the 2nd most edited page, simply that it was second highest of the 4 choices used on the show.

Like I said, the number on Beyonce is not particularly notable, it's just that the show chose to make it an option. Using the list linked above by cheezguyty, other pages in the same ballpark include the Beatles, American Idol, Led Zeppelin, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Playstation 3, Wii. That list is clogged with lots of Wikipedia Talk and template pages, but it looks like the second highest number, after George W, is "List of WWE Personnel."

My thought was Harry Potter, because of the books and movies would require a number of updates. But looking back, that was a bad guess as Harry Potter doesn't do anything other than what J.K. Rowling tells him to do.

Beyoncé sounded like a rather random person to put up there. I don't know that much about her (I'm not a big music person), but she seems less controversial (or newsworthy) than Madonna or Lady Gaga.

But it seems like a country like Israel would have limits on who could edit it to keep extremist nutjobs at bay. The same would seem to be true for the president, regardless of political affiliation.

I will say the guy got very lucky they asked about the cartoon voices who got married as that is impossible to get unless you know it or know who voiced any of the eight characters mentioned.
