guessed liver
guessed "Dice" to complete the Chesney album title (I'll blame having seen Fast Times at Ridgemont High too many times.)
Never read or seen the Forster work.

I thought about lungs, but didn't pull the trigger. For the Chesney song, I thought "problem," but "these" threw me off enough that I didn't want to try simply pluralizing it.

Knew the name David Hockney but somehow connected him with architecture, not art.
Did not connect "Raptors" with dinosaurs; thought in the context of the team name it referred to birds like hawks and eagles.
Early-20th-century British lit is a weak point; I said Conan Doyle just to have a name down.
Don't know exactly how I knew the Kenny Chesney album name, but it was in there somewhere.
Based on the board discussions, I think liver should be considered correct for the lobectomy clue.

Just blanked on Hockney though I'm very aware of him...less so with the Toronto Raptors.
Clammed on lobectomy since "ear" seemed silly... :)
I read A Room With a View because I so enjoyed the movie A Room With a View...probably true of A Passage to India and Howards End as well, though I'm less certain of the sequence. All are excellent.

Second straight 2/5 week. I actually knew three of the country music clues, but when a country question comes up in LL, I always miss it.
Hoping for a third lap

Would have been another shutout for me, a complete one, if I didn't get the Toronto Raptors FJ.

I said liver, but for the poll, I erred on the side of it-probably-would-have-been-accepted-on-a-reversal. (Though even given such baffling reversals as accepting "queasy" for "those uneasy feelings", it's far from a certainty.)

For the other one, I said "Problem!" before Alex finished reading the clue, and when I saw/heard "these" I had no idea what it could be. I'm assuming the song is sung from the perspective of one who has no shirt, no shoes, and no problems, because the singular I'm used to seeing is more of a "you have no shirt or shoes? I have no problem with that" kind of thing. If that makes sense.

Jackson Pollock and The Year of Living Dangerously, both Hail Marys.

Had never heard of and registered Hockney. He's come up three other times since I've started regularly watching; two were TSs and the one that wasn't was looking for swimming pools rathar than Hockney's name (and I might have even guessed right on that).

Have neither read nor seen A Room with a View; the title is certainly familiar but I couldn't have said anything about it before Friday.

I said "dog and pony show" right away Thursday and kept wanting to turn it into "horse and pony show" but resisted because of "Canine."

Ears on lobectomy; did not know lungs had lobes.

No Shirt, No Shoes, No Problems was the transition between me generally liking Kenny Chesney and generally not.
Oh, what has science wrought? I sought only to turn a man into a metal-encased juggernaut of destruction powered by the unknown properties of a mysterious living crystal. How could this have all gone wrong?

Hockney an instaget. Have seen a number of his paintings and knew of his theory on using optical devices in Dutch/Flemish art.
Knew someone who had a lobectomy so got it correct
Saw Room With A View, never read the book
3 for 5 in Country Music, but didn't get this one

I originally missed Wednesday's episode, and was spoiled on the FJ clue (I'm Canadian and follow a lot of sports pages on social media, and I'm also a big Raptors fan, so do the math), but I'm very confident I would've gotten it (repeat: big Raptors fan).

Somehow, I've never heard of "dog and pony show." Said "Greatest Show on Earth" for Thursday.

Knew I wouldn't be the only one with that pattern.

I have seen Hockney's name in the past, but couldn't remember it on Tuesday.

I save episodes of some talk shows for the weekend to go with newspaper/magazine reading or crossword puzzles. This was from the Friday episode of Ellen's show. Audience members get to play games. The lady was asked this question and she guessed four. The answer was three, so she had to remove a tooth from a one-eyed monster contraption that would trap her inside the mouth if she picked the wrong one.

Twice in less than 7-day's time about lungs and lobes made laugh.

I'm impressed that (as of now) the Raptors FJ is polling above 90%. If you didn't know the Raptors' logo it required you to know 1. that the Toronto Raptors are an NBA team, and 2. that the reference is to the dinosaur rather than birds of prey.
